PLEASE READ THE ANIMAL’S PROFILE AND ALL NOTES BELOW BEFORE APPLYING! Hi, I’m Kimchi! 🐾💚 I’m a 1-year-old Chihuahua/Pinscher mix with a tiny body, a BIG personality, and a whole lot of love to give! I may be small, but I have enough loyalty, curiosity, and affection to fill an entire house! 💚 If you’ve ever wanted a little shadow who follows you everywhere and thinks your lap is the greatest place on Earth, I’m your guy! I absolutely LOVE being close to my favorite humans. Whether you’re relaxing on the couch, watching TV, or just hanging out at home, you can bet I’ll be curled up right beside you, soaking up all the snuggles, kisses, and attention I can get! 🥹💚 Now, I do have a little Chihuahua sass! 🤣 When I meet new people, I sometimes like to announce myself with a few barks. I might act like I'm the toughest little guy in the neighborhood, but the truth is… I'm just a nervous boy trying to figure out if everything is safe! My foster says I'm all bark and no bite, and once I realize you're a friend, my sweet, goofy personality starts to shine! I usually need about a day to warm up to new people, but once I feel comfortable, get ready for all the love! I'm incredibly playful, curious, and affectionate. I love having fun, but I also appreciate a calm environment where I can relax and feel secure. I'm a smart little guy, too! I already know how to sit, and I'm learning more every day. I walk nicely on a leash, although sometimes I get a little excited and bounce around because there's just SO much to explore! I'm still working on a couple of things. I know I'm supposed to go potty outside, but I haven't quite figured out how to tell my humans when I need to go. As long as I'm taken outside regularly, I do really well! I'm also getting used to my crate, although I might cry for a little while when I'm first put inside. One thing my future family should know is that I really don't like being away from my favorite people for too long. I get anxious when I'm left alone, so I'd be happiest with someone who spends plenty of time at home and enjoys having a little companion by their side. I also prefer a peaceful environment without lots of unfamiliar people coming and going. Big gatherings can make me nervous, and I might spend the whole time barking because I don't know what to think! I'm much more comfortable getting to know people one at a time. My foster thinks I could do well with children and adults, as long as everyone gives me time to settle in. My compatibility with other pets is still unknown, and I sometimes bark when I see other dogs on walks, so any introductions would need to be slow and thoughtful. ✨ My ideal home: 💚 A loving person or small family who enjoys lots of cuddles 💚 Someone who is home often and won't leave me alone for long periods 💚 A calm household without constant visitors or large gatherings 💚 A patient family who will give me time to build trust 💚 A yard for safe playtime, preferably fenced, or supervised leash walks 💚 Someone willing to continue my potty and crate training 💚 A family who appreciates a tiny dog with a big personality 💌 A word from my foster: "Just give Kimchi time! He's such a sweet, goofy, and playful little guy once he feels comfortable. He might bark at first, but he's never tried to bite out of fear or aggression. He really just wants to feel safe and loved. Once he trusts you, he'll be your little shadow and happily spend his days snuggled up beside you. He's such a special boy!" I know I might need a little extra patience when we first meet, but I promise I'm worth getting to know! Underneath my nervous little barks is a loving, loyal boy who just wants someone to call his own. 💚 I don't need a busy lifestyle or a house full of people. Just a cozy place to call home, a lap to curl up on, and a human who will love me as much as I'll love them. If you're looking for a tiny, snuggly best friend with a goofy personality and enough love to last a lifetime… I'm your Kimchi! 🐾💚 Adoption FEE: $500, which includes his neuter, microchip, and vaccines. It is also a donation to go directly back to us to help us continue to rescue more animals. Story
Spike has been with us for about a week. He really just kind of slithered in and fit in with everyone else all 11 dogs. No one has really paid attention to him and he is fine with that. He barks when he has to go out, leash broke, crate trained. He is hw neg, has had all his vax and has been neutered awhile back.. He is an independent lil guy, okay with petting, loves his butt scratched, but he is def not a needy guy. He gets excited on walk abouts, he has a bit of an odd gait, but on vet exam could find nothing unusual in a senior pup. grade 3/6 murmer no cough or any other issues. He got a pretty clean bill of health for a senior. If you are looking for a companion to take walks with , watch tv with, go for rides, he could be the guy!!! He is good with people and really doesnt interact with other dogs. Currently fostered in Bradenton, with 11 others he could def use a nice quiet loving home!! He was given up by an someone who could no longer take care of him, so he is looking for that special person!
