NOTE: Please read our entire write-up before contacting us. If you don't know the age, breed, weight, what vet care we provide our dogs, the adoption fee, or how to apply, you have not read the write-up. Roxie Breed: Miniature Pinscher Gender: Female, spayed DOB: 8-22-22 Weight: ~7 pounds Microchipped Adoption Fee: $350 They say it's important to be smarter than your dog and, well, Roxie has definitely put her foster family to the test! She can open doors, boxes, and containers. She can climb things and get over, through, and under things in the home that were unexpected. She is an amazingly agile dog! When Roxie isn't running through the house with her foster brothers and sisters playing a wild game of chase, she sits and watches. She observes her fur family and human foster family with intelligent eyes. She plans ahead. But as long as there is a lap or shoulder to rest upon, she will crash with her buddies and hang out in a puppy pile up! When Roxie initially came to us, she had a double break in her front leg. It took a couple months to resolve the break. It has now healed beautifully and she has normal use of the leg- something two vets had been uncertain would happen! She is a fun dog, an energetic dog and is ready to learn ANYTHING! Roxie is highly intelligent and needs an active, intelligent family to continue her education, work on her self control, and help her channel her energy into healthy activities! She would be a great agility candidate and we have a lot of wonderful trainers in this area that can help you teach her! She would be great for search and rescue training, as she has an excellent nose, drive, and is small enough to go places larger dogs can't go! Roxie can climb, jump, and get through openings in gates and fences. She cannot get through a privacy fence. Because she is so small and agile we do require her adoptive home have a secure privacy fenced yard. Good w/ Other Dogs- Yes Good w/ Cats- Yes Energy Level- High Children- Responsible teens Grooming Needs- Low Walks on Leash- Yes Special Needs- No Knows basic commands- Yes Experienced Home- Required Good First Time Dog- No Rides well in car- Yes, crated Crate Trained- Yes Low Allergen- No Good apartment dog- No Fenced Yard- Required Adoptive homes within one hour of the Raleigh, NC area only. Story
Meet Cherry – A Devoted and Delightfully Spunky Miniature Pinscher Quick Facts: Name: Cherry Breed: Miniature Pinscher Age: 9 years Weight: 14 lbs House-Trained: Yes – uses pee pads and goes outside Crate-Trained: Not specified Good with Dogs: Yes – prefers submissive dogs, may benefit from a calm companion Good with Cats: Not tested Good with Kids: Best in a home without small children Energy Level: Moderate – playful but limited mobility Fence Required: Preferred for safe and easy outdoor time Special Needs: Has balance issues and limited mobility. Is on life-long medications: Movoflex, Methacarbonal, and Meloxicam which are around $75-$100 a month Cherry at a Glance: Deeply loyal and affectionate “velcro dog” Loves to cuddle and always stays close to her person Playful with toys and bones, enjoys outside time Mama-bear tendencies over the pack, being worked on in foster Can be vocal when excited, especially when heading out Food-motivated and responsive to training, though a little stubborn Wobbly gait and balance issues—requires thoughtful handling and surroundings Potty trained but may mark indoors occasionally Rides well in a stroller and enjoys short outdoor strolls About Cherry’s Breed: Cherry is a Miniature Pinscher, or “Min Pin,” a breed known for its bold personality, strong bond with humans, and curious, energetic nature. Despite their small size, Min Pins are mighty in personality and thrive on being near their people. They’re clever, affectionate, and fiercely loyal—Cherry is no exception. Cherry’s Story & Personality: Cherry is the definition of a ride-or-die dog. Incredibly loving and loyal, she bonds tightly with her person and prefers to stay close—whether following you around the house or snuggling on the couch. She’s a true velcro pup and gravitates toward the pack leader, making her a perfect match for someone confident, calm, and consistent. She’s playful with toys and bones and does great with submissive dog companions, though she does have a bit of a “mama” complex and tries to oversee the pack. Her foster is helping her learn to relax in this role. While she enjoys canine company, she'd also be content as a solo queen if given plenty of love and enrichment. Potty-wise, Cherry is trained to go outside and knows how to use pee pads, but she may mark indoors. With consistency, this can improve. She has some back issues and a naturally wobbly gait, so mobility needs to be managed thoughtfully—stairs and slick floors should be avoided or made safe with ramps and silicone mats. While she doesn’t need long walks, she does love stroller rides and being outside—she usually announces her excitement as she heads out the door! Cherry is smart and responds well to training when given structure and patience. She’s a bit stubborn at times but wants to please. Because she tends to get underfoot, a household without small children or mobility challenges would be ideal to avoid tripping hazards. Why You’ll Love Cherry: Loyal to the core and incredibly affectionate Loves toys, bones, and short outdoor adventures Potty trained and working on eliminating marking behavior Great stroller companion and playmate for mellow dogs Intelligent and motivated by treats and praise A true shadow dog who will be your biggest fan Cherry’s Ideal Home: A calm, less active home without small children Someone home much of the day or with another mellow dog for company A home that can accommodate her mobility needs (minimal stairs, non-slick surfaces) and continue with her necessary medications (Movoflex, Methacarbonal, and Meloxicam) Patient, loving adopter who appreciates her quirks and her fierce loyalty Fenced yard preferred for safe outdoor time, but short walks are okay too Cherry is the kind of dog who wants to be near you always. She's playful, loving, and a little bossy in the most charming way. With the right environment and a touch of patience, this sassy little sweetheart will be the most loyal companion you could ever hope for. Ready to Welcome Cherry Into Your Life? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › MUST HAVE A FENCED YARD AND ANOTHER DOG IN THE HOMEAt about 18lbs, 3 year old Maddox is a sweet little guy waiting for his forever home. He came to Pawfect Match very scared, but is slowly warming up. He was originally part of a hoarding case, then adopted from a shelter in Eastern NC; Maddox was returned to that shelter when his person became terminally ill.Maddox needs another dog in the home to help him continue to build confidence. He has an exuberant playstyle and likes to use his paws to get his friends attention - then he runs away for a game of chase and bounds around like a deer! In fact, Maddox has become BFF with Butler, as they have similarly quirky playstyles; so if you're considering a built-in duo, check out Bulter, too!A fenced yard is a MUST, as the world is still super scary and Maddox startles very easily. Leash walking is not a great option for Maddox; as the day progresses and there is more activity/noise outside, Maddox becomes increasingly nervous. Children make him nervous when he's outside, but when he's inside, he's accepting of their attention. He is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated and ready to be your next family member! To apply for Maddox: https://www.pawfectmatch.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=20696470To check out Butler:  https://www.pawfectmatch.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=20962167Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 24, 2025, 1:11 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Enzo is a 1.5 year old, 35 lb min pin-pittie mix.  A mini-pintie! - he's a lot of personality in a tiny package.   Enzo is housetrained and fully vetted.  He doesn't love his crate, but will go in and rides well in a car.  He has been exposed to cats and doesn't pay them any attention.  While he has been around kids, we expect he was abused previously by children so he's understandably cautious. Enzo walks well in his harness and does little loops of happiness when he knows a walk is coming and he has good recall when called.  Enzo knows the words sit and no, he is working on lay down. He also loves to lay in the doggie pool.  It's unknown if he can swim, however he sure does love the water. Enzo can get slightly jealous of his person and high value treats, but not all the time and only with other dogs.  Frequently he is sleeping on his foster mom's back when she wakes up.  He would likely do best as an only dog but does like to play.  He listens well to dominant dogs and wants to ultimately be the shadow for his human.  Enzo would be great for an apartment, he's very treat motivated and eager to please.  Please keep your shoes close to you as he has a taste for shoe laces!  Enzo is currently being fostered with a variety of dog personalities and a couple teen humans, he gets along well with everyone.    *********************************************************** The  adoption fee is $400 (due at time of pickup) which covers food, vetting, microchip and the future spay/neuter surgery performed by a rescue-affiliated vet.  All puppies have had a wellness visit and are up to date on shots appropriate for age.  Breed and size is Pawfect Match Rescue's best guess and not guaranteed. Please go to https://www.pawfectmatch.org/animals/search? and search on the puppy name to see more photos, browse the profile, and complete an application  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 1, 2025, 12:24 pm
