With no one left to care for her, she found her way into our rescue — and from the very first day, she reminded us just how resilient love can be. At seven years young, Lela is thriving. She’s in wonderful health, full of gentle energy, and ready to enjoy many more happy years with a family of her own. She may be small in size, but her capacity for love is enormous. Lela is the kind of dog who wants to be wherever you are. She adores people, loves to cuddle, and will happily curl up beside you as your loyal little shadow. Sweet, affectionate, and endlessly devoted, she truly just wants to belong again. She’s also wonderfully social — great with other dogs and gentle with cats — making her an easy fit for many homes. Whether it’s a quiet evening on the couch or a leisurely stroll, Lela will be right by your side, grateful for every moment. Genesis loves to have her chin scratched so she can hold your gaze with her adoring and soulful brown eyes. She bonds deeply and will be a lifelong best friend and close companion for her lucky adopter! This girl is the definition of calm and gentle. She likes a calm, peaceful environment as she can sometimes feel startled by loud noises. She'd probably prefer an adult home and could take or leave a dog sibling. She's mostly a people person, and is trusting of both men and women. She'd love someone home a fair bit of the time since she loves to be close and nap nearby her people. Genesis has medium-low energy. She enjoys her walks and does very well on leash, but she's most content having a cozy nap near someone she loves. She's the perfect balanced companion, a sidekick for outdoor adventures, and a cozy snuggle buddy for time at home.
