Story
Meet Fritter! Fritter is approximately 13 years old, 11 lb currently, and he may have some Min-Pin in his mix! In his foster home, he is working hard on his house training, crate-training, and leash walking. He could join households with kids 10+ and other dogs. No cats, please! His foster says, `Fritter was one of the dogs that we saved from a life tied to a tree outdoors. Luckily none were in very bad shape when they arrived. At 13 years, he is the oldest of the group. He deserved so much better than that at his age. His bloodwork was exceptional and he is in great health. He is neutered, had a recent dental cleaning, up to date on immunizations and heartworm prevention, and is ready for a new home. Fritter is such a fun little guy and definitely not ready for retirement yet. He is a bit on the dominant side, active, fun-loving, and feisty. He gets along with other dogs. He would be fine as an only dog too. He is a little crazy over cats, but never caused them any harm. He is an amazing snuggler and will hug you like he never wants to look it you go.`He is available for adoption in Worcester or Hopkinton by appointment. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com

Story
Lil Mac is only two years old, but he’s already been through more than most dogs ever should. He was found tied up and abandoned in a cemetery in Arkansas, alone, scared, and left behind. Lil Mac came to Rhode Island in search of his forever family, and in the meantime, his incredible foster family has been showering him with patience, kindness, and love. Lil Mac is wary of men, but his foster dad and brother have shown him that how kind and gentle some men are. And somehow, Lil Mac found the courage to trust. Now, the same dog who was once so unsure leans into them, loving them with his whole heart. He’s still learning and growing but he’s come so far, and we are so proud of him. Mac may find apartment living a bit overwhelming, so he would do best in a home with a fenced yard where he can relax and romp at his own pace. He’d truly enjoy having canine or even feline siblings to keep him company. Because he’s more on the reserved side, he would thrive in an adult-only home, or possibly one with older, respectful teenagers. If you are interested in adopting this dog please complete the adoption application at www.rhodehomerescue.org/adoption-form to become a pre-approved adopter. If you were already approved through Rhode Home Rescue within the last 6 months, contact us today! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application   HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see   HERE Age: 5 months (as of 5/22/26) Weight: 6.5 lbs (as of 4/22/26) Location: RI This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Meet Lambchop, a delightful puppy with a heart full of joy and a tail that never stops wagging! We are thinking Lambchop and her brother Pinnochio are a Miniature Pinscher (aka Min Pin) mix. This sweet, friendly, and goofy girl loves nothing more than a good play session, especially if it involves her favorite toys.  She has enjoyed playing with the other dogs in her foster home and would love a canine sibling to call her own! She has been working on building her confidence while in her foster home and she is doing quite nicely.  She will need a family who is patient and willing to explore new things at her own pace.  She is doing great, but wouldn't call her a social butterfly just yet! She would do best in a home without small kids. She still has so much to learn, but she is a smart cookie! She is working on house training, crate training and will need to learn to walk on a leash. We strongly recommend that all our dogs attend obedience classes because you get to learn fun new skills together. It also offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog. Why adopt Lambchop? Because every day with her is bound to be filled with laughter, love, and lots of playful antics! An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see   HERE   for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website:   Adoption Application - SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org)   **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 9, 2026, 11:37 am

Story
Hey! My name is Jack. I am a young 1-2 year old chi/min pin mix… I think. I prefer to think that I am just a small GreyHound! I love to run. Walking is not something I understand! I love to run around the yard, the house, pretty much everywhere I go. I do it at full speed. I am almost 100% potty trained but I have had a few accidents in the house. They may not have been my fault but it did happen. Mommy and daddy were not paying attention to me, so maybe it was their fault. Or maybe it was the cat! I am a bit mouthy. I don’t bite, except the vet. I just like hands and fingers to nibble on. We are working on it and I am getting better. I will sleep in a crate but it isn’t my favorite place to sleep. I will let you know for a minute then fall fast asleep. If I sleep in the bed, I sleep through the night and wont move an inch!! My perfect adopter will be someone that is active and has a fenced in yard. I am small but I can really jump. 4 foot… Easy! Make it 5 foot! If you need a hiking buddy or a running partner, I am your boy. Cats?? Not a problem! Kids. No problem but I may jump on them. I would even love to have another dog friend to chase around. My current dog sister is older and she has a bad attitude!! So if you think I would fit into your family, reach out. By the way, I am an excellent kisser! Please apply for me at www.coaldr.org Jack's adoption fee is $300 and he is being fostered in Greenville, SC. We are able to transport Jack to New England for an additional fee.
