Meet Dahlia — the dog who has big feelings about the great outdoors. At just 9 months old, this petite Miniature Pinscher mix has already figured out one of life’s great mysteries: outside is suspicious, and she wants everyone to know it. Despite her deep reservations about the natural world, she has committed to never using indoor floors as a bathroom. Dahlia is sweet, playful, and deeply devoted to the humans she loves. She’s a “velcro dog” at heart — happiest when she’s near her people — but she’s also perfectly capable of holding down the fort when you’re away. No chewed furniture, no ransacked trash cans. Just a small dog quietly waiting for your return, probably from a safe distance from the windows. Leash walks are still a work in progress (the outside remains under investigation), but with patience and gentle encouragement, she’s making strides — sometimes literally. Dahlia does well in a calm, quiet home. Small kids, giant dogs, bold cats — they’re all a little much for her right now. She’d thrive with adults or older children, and would prefer any animal roommates to be closer to her size and energy level. In summary: Dahlia is a low-drama, high-heart little lady who just needs a cozy home, a patient person, and maybe a long talk about why outside is actually okay. Greetings, I’m Sir Lancelot ⚔️🐾 A very noble name for a puppy who still trips over his own feet sometimes. I’m a playful little adventurer who believes every toy should be chased, every stick should be investigated, and every room deserves at least one zoomie lap. I’ve got a curious personality and a big interest in whatever everyone else is doing. I may sound like a brave knight, but honestly I’m mostly just a happy puppy looking for snacks, fun, and people to love. After a long day of heroic activities, I’m more than happy to crash into a nap and recharge for tomorrow’s quests. -Trey is a handsome Min Pin boy that is estimated to be one year old and weighing at slim and sleek 17 pounds. This boy was found as a stray with a desperate need to be cared for with love and dedication. Critter Cavalry Rescue was luckily contacted by the shelter director and implored to please find him a forever home and turn his sweet life around. Trey deserves to have a wonderful family or single person who wants this nice but nervous boy to be their cuddle bug for many years to come. You can see in his face that he has never been treated so nicely. His foster mom says he is submissive with the other dogs and would fit in with any family that has other cats and dogs. He is crate trained and unbelievably housebroken. Maybe he was someone's boy at one time and somehow lost his way. He was not microchipped nor neutered and he seems a bit ragged around the edges when he was found. One of those road warriors who somehow survived the odds of the past winter filled with snow and ice storms. Trey loves the feel of the cool green grass as he rolls on his back with a smile. He never growls even when some of the other jealous dogs have growled at him when he arrived. He just takes it in stride. He is quiet and needs some reassurance from his human foster mom. Of course he feels vulnerable but we hope that soon there will be a wonderful door that will open for his future and someone will invite him home to live the dream life of a well-loved dog. Sassy was surrendered when her senior human passed. She was already spayed. A veterinary exam and vaccinations were done. She required extensive dental surgery and several extractions. "Unnamed" came from a large hoarding case in Anderson county. Over 60 small breed dogs were pulled from the home after the owner died. We estimate her age to be 7 months and she weighs 14 lbs. "Unnamed" has had little human contact due to the number of animals in the home. She wants attention but is also very shy. She would do best in a quiet home with older children and calm pets. "Unnamed" was not house trained as the dogs were never left outside so her owner will need to work with her on that. "Unnamed" is available for adoption in Knoxville, TN and her fee is $300.
