Don’t let the missing leg fool you — this happy pup can run, wrestle, zoom, and play right alongside the other dogs without missing a beat. Her favorite game in the world is tug-of-war, and she takes her job as tug champion very seriously. Kali is great with dogs, cats, and people, making friends everywhere she goes. She’s always ready for an adventure, a play session, or just being involved in whatever her humans are doing. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, I’m Minnie!  I’m a Min Pin/Chihuahua mix with a sweet heart that just needs a little time to shine. When I first meet new people, I can be shy and a bit nervous. I may run away and bark, but I promise I do want to be in your lap. I do really well with other dogs. Unsure about cats. I am not leash trained, but volunteers are working with me on that.  Once I trust you, my real personality comes out: happy hops, nonstop tail wags, and lots of excitement when I see my people. Please note, I do know how to climb fences.  Minnie has received extensive veterinary care while in our rescue. When she went in for her spay surgery, our veterinarian noticed an irregular heartbeat with bradycardia, although no obvious heart murmur was detected. To ensure we had a complete picture of her health, we proceeded with comprehensive bloodwork and a full echocardiogram. Her bloodwork results were completely normal, including a negative Chagas test. The echocardiogram showed a structurally and functionally normal heart. According to the cardiologist's report, the limited ECG available for review was consistent with a sinus arrhythmia. Overall, Minnie's cardiac evaluation was very reassuring and showed no significant abnormalities. I’m already spayed, 4DX negative, microchipped, current on vaccines, protected with ProHeart 12 and Bravecto, and ready to start my new life! My adoption fee is $350. Apply to adopt me at: www.adoggie4you.org I’m currently in Texas, but I can travel to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, Kentucky, and along the East Coast. If I need a ride, there’s an additional $250 transport fee. (I’m unable to travel to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations.)Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 8, 2026, 5:42 pm

Story
Name: Hazel - CALGARY!!! Age: 1 year Sex: Spayed Female Spayed: Yes Breed: Miniature Pinscher mix Color: Black / Brown Weight: 3.6 kg Height (shoulder): 23 cm   Rescue Story   Hazel was rescued from a severe animal hoarding situation where dozens of dogs were found living together in poor conditions. All of the dogs were taken to a city shelter, and Hazel was fortunately rescued before her situation became worse. She is now safe and slowly learning what life with people can be like.   ‍‍ Socialization with People   Hazel can be a little shy at first, but when someone calls her she will approach and happily settle into their arms. Because she grew up in a hoarding environment, she tends to be more cautious about new environments than people. In unfamiliar places, she often looks to humans for reassurance and comfort.   She has not met children under 13 yet, but we do not expect major issues. She can be picked up by placing an arm under her belly, and once she becomes comfortable with someone she will even roll over to show her belly.   Socialization with Other Dogs   Since Hazel grew up with many dogs, she is used to living with them and often seeks comfort from the dogs she grew up with. They tend to sleep together in a little group, although she hasn’t shown a lot of playful interaction yet.   She may feel uncomfortable around larger dogs but is generally friendly with dogs of a similar or smaller size. If another dog challenges her, she prefers to avoid conflict and will simply move away.   With Cats   Her reaction to cats has not been observed yet, but a test can be arranged if needed.   Energy Level   Hazel has a low energy level and enjoys spending most of her time resting calmly.   Walks   She has not had much experience outside yet. When something unfamiliar appears, she may tremble out of fear. However, once she forms a strong bond with her person, she tends to follow them closely, which may make walks easier as her confidence grows.   Additional Notes   Hazel does not guard food from either people or other dogs. She currently does not show severe separation anxiety, but because of her hoarding background and strong bonds with the dogs she lived with, some initial adjustment may occur when separated from them.   She rarely barks, although she may bark along if other dogs start barking. She stays calm when placed in a kennel and is currently pad trained. Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org Please also visit our Facebook or Instagram! Story
Meet Lala   Currently in Vancouver, BC   Age: 6 months Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Miniature Pinscher / Dachshund Mix Color: Black & Tan Weight: 3 kg Height: 21 cm (at the shoulder)   Lala was rescued from a hoarding situation involving Miniature Pinschers and Dachshunds. Despite her difficult start in life, she has grown into a sweet, gentle puppy who is ready to find a loving forever family.   Personality with People   Lala can be a little shy when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly—especially if treats are involved! Once she feels comfortable, she enjoys being petted and will happily follow her favorite person around. If left one-on-one with someone new, she quickly builds trust and becomes very affectionate.   She is wonderful with children under 13 years old, allows herself to be picked up comfortably by supporting her under her belly, and once she trusts you, she’ll happily roll over to show her belly.   Social with Other Dogs   Lala gets along well with other dogs overall. She can be a little intimidated by larger dogs at first, but if they are gentle and friendly, she relaxes quickly. She especially enjoys playing with dogs of a similar size.   Cats   Lala has not been tested with cats.   Energy Level   Lala has a moderate energy level. Once she becomes comfortable in her surroundings, she loves exploring, sniffing, and investigating everything around her. She also settles nicely and remains calm in her crate.   Walking   Lala is still gaining confidence on walks, as she has limited leash experience. If something startles her, she may stop and freeze for a moment, but overall she does well and continues to improve with gentle encouragement.   Behavior & Training   No resource guarding with people or other dogs. Currently shows no signs of separation anxiety, although like many young puppies, she may experience some during the adjustment period in a new home. Very calm and quiet in her crate. Uses both pee pads indoors and goes potty outside.   Lala is a gentle, loving little girl who is looking for a patient family to help her continue building confidence. With a little time and love, she’s sure to become a wonderful lifelong companion. Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org  PLEASE ALSO VISIT OUR FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM! Story
Jack is such a sweet and sensitive lil guy! At home, he loves cuddling or napping nearby, with short bursts of play - big on squeaky toys, tug, and jumping onto cozy spots. Jack can come on long summer hikes, but he prefers to stay near home in the winter. In Seattle, he's a regular café/bar dog and settles quietly on a mat for some time.As a rescued stray, Jack does best in a quiet, stable home with a predictable routine. Loud sounds startle him, so he's not a fit for homes with babies or very young kids. Older kids/teens are great. He's fearful of unfamiliar dogs but warms up to well-matched smaller or calmer dogs.Important: Jack has separation anxiety and is not currently left alone. He's on anti-anxiety medication and receptive to desensitization training. We can share his ongoing plan. Healthy, house-trained, neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, knows basic commands.Ideal home: calm multi-adult household with consistent companionship, cozy spots, and lots of love <3

Chloe and Emma are a bonded pair ready to set off on their new adventure - together! These two senior ladies are still full of spunk. They enjoy going for walks, playing with toys, playing together, and being around their people. Chloe and Emma can be nervous around other dogs and need time to warm up. They've never been around cats. Any introductions to resident pets should be done slowly. Chloe and Emma are looking for a quiet home with just teens and adults. They don't enjoy being left alone and would be happiest in a home where their humans are around often. Chloe and Emma are ready to go home with you today!
