Story
Russell has three legs, but you wouldn't know it when you first meet him. He's just as much a fun loving, puzzle treat solving, blanket burrowing dog as you'll find anywhere. He has high energy and a strong will to protect his people. When he had a yard his favorite job was patrolling the perimeter for any mice that made their way in. (He never caught any). His favorite treat is a little tent that his best toys are stuffed into so he can go digging for bits of treat hidden inside. He also loves to tug on a sturdy rope toy. But he's happiest curled up between legs and lounging after a little walk. A routine is important to Russell, and he is very intelligent. His favorite tricks are shake, spin, down, and snoot (Making an okay sign with your hand and his little nose goes in the hole between thumb and forefinger). He is such a good boy, and when he curls up he looks like a cinnamon role. We have a baby on the way, and have a new chapter to start. We will miss him dearly.

Story
Meet Faith — Your Future Snuggle Buddy Faith is a 5-year-old, approx. 28 lb Dachshund/Chihuahua mix with the sweetest little soul and a heart built for cuddles. Rescued from a high-kill shelter in Roswell, New Mexico, Faith has already beaten the odds — she is a distemper survivor, proof that this tiny girl is as strong as she is sweet. She also had dental work done to remove painful teeth, and now she’s feeling so much healthier and ready for her happily ever after. Personality & Temperament Faith is the definition of a couch potato. Calm, gentle, and low-energy, she prefers soft blankets, cozy beds, and your arms over anything else. She would happily spend her days lounging, napping, and soaking up affection. If you open your arms, she melts right into you. She’s best paired with other low-energy dogs. She coexists peacefully with her current foster sibling but doesn’t enjoy being pestered by high-energy playmates. Dog Skills Leash: Walks well, especially with confidence from another dog. On group walks she loosens up, wags her tail, and loves sniffing where the “lead dog” sniffs. Solo walks can be scary for her, so she may try to hurry home. Potty Training: Potty-pad trained and improving her outdoor potty skills. No accidents when pads are available. Crate: Unknown — her fosters haven’t crated her. At Home Home Alone: Faith struggles with separation and may bark or howl when left, even with another dog present. She’s working through some separation anxiety and abandonment fears. Sleep: She loves sleeping in bed with her humans, sometimes moving to her own cozy dog bed during the night. Alone Time: When her people are home, she’s quiet, calm, and non-destructive. Ideal Home Faith’s dream home is calm, quiet, and cozy. She doesn’t need an active lifestyle — she needs someone who loves cuddles, soft blankets, and slower days. A homebody or someone who works from home would be perfect. Any household size is fine as long as the energy is gentle and she has plenty of places to snuggle in. Fun Facts Strengths: Affectionate, quiet, loyal, a total cuddle muffin. Working On: Building confidence, being alone, and learning her name. Celebrity Twin: Snorlax — soft, sleepy, and the world’s best cuddler. Dating Profile: “Can I be your teddy bear so we can cuddle all night?” Favorite Treat: Anything beef! Wishes she had a friend to share: A warm bed at night. Adoption $500 In a PNW foster home waiting for her furever family Up to date on vaccines, microchipped and spayed www.northwestwagrescue.org ##2592895##

It belonged to an aunt who had to move, and I've had him since May 2025, but the time I can spend with him is minimal. My work schedule keeps me away from home from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, so he needs more time with people. He's one year and six months old.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Dallas! Dallas is a 1.5-year-old, 15 lb Miniature Pinscher/Dachshund mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded CA shelter. This sweet, loving little guy is ready to find a home where he can feel safe, supported, and adored! Dallas is a total cuddlebug — he loves being held by his person and soaking up all the affection he can get. He’s got a cute little nub tail, beautiful black-and-brown markings, and a sweet nature. He enjoys going on walks and spending time with his humans, but he’s still gaining confidence and can be shy, especially around loud noises or busy city environments. Dallas would do best in a quieter neighborhood or home outside of deep city living, with adopters who understand shy dogs and are committed to helping him continue building confidence. He’s done well with other dogs and would love having a canine friend in the home. He can also do well as an only dog with adopters who will keep him well socialized. Because he’s sensitive and still learning about the world, Dallas would do best in a home without young children; respectful kids 12+ could potentially be a good fit. Dallas is a gentle, affectionate little guy who’s ready to bond deeply with his forever family! Dallas is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  Dax is a fun, playful, lovable young guy.  He appears to be either Chihuahua, MinPin or both with maybe doxie?  Just a cute little guy whatever his mix.  He can be a bit vocal if exciting things are going on around him, so probably would not make a good apt companion.  He will walk on leash but uses his little 9 pound body to pull you along still.  He does great with other dogs and we were told children also.  We have not personally had him around any children thus far.  He is doing good with crate training with regular outings.   Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 23, 2025, 5:06 pm

Story
Meet Motley Crue!  While she may just be one pup, this girl is most certainly a motley of all the best personality traits one could ask for in a puppy! Sweet, cuddly, clever, and incredibly food motivated, Motley Crue is willing and ready to be your best friend that never leaves your side. Motley Crue simply just wants to be with her person, whether that be going on walks around the block, playing tug, or even just learning fun new tricks, she’s down for it all! And not only does she love people, she’s also great with other dogs, cats, and kids of all ages.    BONUS: Motley Crue is both crate and potty trained, and is on her way to sleeping through the night!    Ideal Home: Motley Crue’s ideal home would be with a loving family, or individual, who has the ability to work from home, as she is not a fan of being left alone for long periods of time. Bonus points if you have a canine companion that is eager to play, as Motley Crue will never turn down the chance to make a new friend and practice her wrestling skills! So, if you’re looking for a playful, lovable, and loyal companion, then Motley Crue is your girl!   What is Path of Hope Rescue’s Adoption Process? Our adoption process takes on average 7-10 days. Begin by completing the online application. EVERY application receives an email response from us (check your spam folder!). Your personal Matchmaker will contact you, help you find your perfect pup match, and guide you through the process. Meet your potential pup at the home of the foster family (the process may differ slightly for long distance adopters). Bring your potential pup home for a no commitment In Home Trial. In Home Trials are a minimum of (2) nights for a puppy and one week for an adult. Your Matchmaker will check in with you during this time. Sign the adoption paperwork and adopt your new family member! Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue Our adoption process sets us apart. We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process.  Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs a year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations (when age appropriate) and deworming and heartworm treatment/prevention. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course.  Long Distance adopters (one hour or more from Spokane) may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250. Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon. About Path of Hope Rescue At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes. We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment. Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events.  Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process. ##2495549##
