Story
Hi my name is Rufus,I am just a young boy who has a zest for life. I was injured when I was really young and I limped when my foster mom rescued me. I had surgery on my hip and I am now recovering from that. I am sure that in a few more months I will walk without a limp and be as good as new.I love to play with the other dogs here both young and old. I am not rough so even the smallest ones are fun to be with. I don’t live with cats so I am not sure what that would be like. I don’t live with kids either but I think I would like to have some young friends to play with. Toys are great, especially the chew type. But sometimes I get toys confused with shoes and my mom doesn’t like that.I sleep in a crate at night and sometimes during the day when my family goes out but I am ok with that because there is always a treat that goes with that.I know how to sit for a treat too. I will need some extra training if you want to teach me some tricks. I haven’t been out walking on a leash yet because of my injury but I am a smart boy so it won’t take me long to learn. If you are looking for a loving, quiet, and sweet boy to add to your family then just fill in the application and we can meet on a Zoom call.Loving life,Rufus. Story
We've had Otto since early 2017 before we moved to Fairchild AFB. He has been a great companion. He loves to play and be loved on. He loves to climb on your lap and put his paws and head right on your chest. He loves to sun bathe and he absolutely loves to play with other dogs at the dog park. He is very lively and needs a lot of attention. We are moving to another military base this summer and need to rehome Otto before we move. We would love to see him go to a family that is active and has time to play and be social.

Story
To adopt see our web site at spokanewienerdogs.org and find the form on our To Adopt page. Thanks. Ryker is a 3 year old male. We are checking to see if housebroke although we are working on crate training and doing well there. He is beyond smart so easy to train. He is also way more handsome than our photos. So far he is very sweet and mellow and is quite happy and charming dude. He is a bit scared and shy for the first week so Ryker will need someone with some patience and time to get him more socialized in his new home. He came to us when his previous family had to move and could not take him to new housing, not because he did anything wrong. Ryker is now neutered and healing up nicely so good to go to a new home. He also had his teeth cleaned, shots and worming so he had the full meal deal of vet care. We always send along that paperwork too so folks have it for their vets. We do require a fenced yard in town and no kids with this boy please. He is a mooch and is a bit overweight so needs to stay on a diet. Thanks.

Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!!  My name is Mrs. Potts from Korea and I am a wonderful approx. 8 year old female Mini Pinscher - Chihuahua mix.  I am about 3.5 lbs. and hoping to find a forever home.  I am friendly and was saved from an illegal Breeding Farm in South Korea.  I was rescued with many others by local activists from the horrific conditions we were in.  I fought to survive every day and was so badly neglected.  Korea kills an estimated 1.5 -2 million dogs a year to be eaten.  I just want a chance to be part of a family and for someone to love and care for me.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will come to your home and help train your new pup for only $75.  My adoption fee of $1,195 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.  A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an AirTag from us.  The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  We do not guarantee the breed and age of the dogs.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  Please e-mail at  admin@gingerspetrescue.org  for an adoption application.     April 16, 2024, 4:53 am

Story
Meet Ddobok💜 He became frightened one day during a thunderstorm and fled his home. Regretfully, Ddobok was involved with a traffic accident and had to visit the animal hospital. While Ddobok was receiving treatment at a hospital, his owners visited Ddobok after a while and gave him up and overturned it multiple times. Eventually they decided to give up Ddobok and he was sent to Adogs Center and now staying with us.😢 Since he has already been abandoned twice, we are looking for a forever family for Ddobok where he won't get hurt any more from people and will enjoy a happy pup life full of unconditional love.🙏 * Separation anxiety: None! * Potty training: 100% outdoor potty! * Energy Level (1~10): Lv. 5 * No problem getting along with other doggy friends at Adogs Center! *After a car accident, Ddobok had surgery on his rear legs, but he can walk without any difficulty!😊 Needs more rehabilitation treatment though. *Is an absolute lovebug who loves people and doggy friends.😊 Loves any person or a dog near him and is an adorable pup who shows his affection nonstop!❣ * Responds aggressively towards cats. *When he first meets someone, he is hesitatant to approach them but soon he develops into a charming pup who can be extremely adorable to them! * Gets excited when going on walks at first. Pulls on the leash a little but currently getting training, so things should get better! * He need care because he likes eating food off the ground when out for walk. * No problem letting his paws touched or get wiped after walks. * No carsickness, enjoys the scenary and drive during the ride. * Sheds a little. * Mastered ‘sit’, ‘house’, and ‘wait’. * Favorites: All kinds of food and walks. 💙 Foster's Instagram: @adogs_imbo 💙 Health issues: Requires constant observation and management due to a grade 2 of bilateral patellar luxation.

We adopt out to homes in WA state, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle or cash. We no longer accept PayPal because of the huge fees they take from the rescue. Talk about right place at the right time yet again with our foster mum & for the very cute Mickey. This is another one of those disgusting stories of people letting him down, plus so very sad for Mickey. But in the same breath it was a good thing. Our foster mum was at one of the very high kill shelters in CA rescuing a sweet soul a while ago for us when a lady & her young daughter were surrendering Mickey because they were moving. The daughter was hugging Mickey as he was her as he was terrified & she was so very upset & crying. The daughters mother said they were moving & found a place where there was no dogs allowed so she was dropping him off. They had, had Mickey since he was a young puppy she said. She did not really care for poor Mickey & the daughter was begging for them not to drop him off at the shelter when our foster mum reached out to us so we could help him so he didn’t have to go into the dreaded shelter & possibly not come out of there alive. We are so grateful to have saved Mickey because he is not the dog you see today who was surrendered to us, emotionally or physically. Without our outstanding foster mum this would not of happened & who knows what would of happened to this poor boy because he was clearly mistreated. He was also not medically looked after at all. That was all on our shoulders to take care of. Mickey who is now looking for his very own forever home & who will never give up on him again & dump him & love him just as we do. Mickey was bought back to WA state from CA where we got all of his medical taken care of & he can’t wait to find his loving forever home. How on earth anyone could let Mickey down is beyond us. Especially since the previous people had him for so long, it’s shocking. Mickey just wants to be loved & look look out, once you love him back you will have a new best friend for life. Disturbing to think of what almost happened to him. The level of absolute madness here is so deeply sad for many of these beautiful souls out of CA. Mickey is not the same dog we rescued. It was quite evident that he had been mistreated & was not looked after. His nails were so long we had no idea how he could walk & he was so very untrusting of people in the beginning & was reactive out of fear & what was going to happen to him. Now this boy knows what it’s like to be loved. He is so very sweet & wants you to cuddle him & love him & adore him. In the beginning his new family will just need to go slow with him & not surprise him at all from the back or anything silly. We must say, he loved the little girl in the family & did not want to leave her, of course he didn’t when he was being dumped. He has done so well now with our vets & everyone there. Once we put him into a daycare he has grown so much in confidence wise since being there with the dogs & men he is around. In the daycare he has been around countless breeds of dogs. He is still learning to walk on a leash & is doing well considering. Mickey is a good eater, he loves to eat & put on a few pounds since being rescued. Mickey’s new forever home must have a fully fenced secured backyard for his safety. Mickey has been great with his baths because he started having them with us the moment he was rescued & he was quite filthy when our foster mum originally got him. Mickey rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good journey & enjoys looking out the window & going places with you. We are looking for a forever home for Mickey where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. We are also looking for a crate free home for the little lad only. Mickey is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him. Mickey has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & was fostered in CA with other dogs & does well with them & enjoys their company. He can be the king of the home or there can be other dogs in the home. Mickey is roughly 3 years old & 13 lbs & is perhaps a miniature pincher, but what he is mixed with we are not sure at all. He is male, neutered by laser by our wonderful vets. Mickey is heart worm negative, had a dental scale & polish & dental x-rays. He is microchipped, given flea treatment, up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Mickey, with all of his medical care than his adoption fee comes close to even covering, his neuter by laser, all of his shots, dental/scale & polish, boarding fees, testing him for heart worm, microchip, transport fees bringing him back to WA state, etc. Mickey has been around cats since being in the rescue in his foster home & could care less about the cat in his foster home but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. We have not had him around small children in the rescue so we do not recommend small children nor cats & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children. We were not there when Mickey was conceived so we do not know who both his parents were, but it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Mickey’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Mickey potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Mickey has been through many traumas in his short time on this earth so when applying this needs to be kept in mind & for his care. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Mickey & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Mickey who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this beautiful soul of a lad. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Mickey has an adoption fee of $885 & his adoption fee does not come close to what we have spent on this beautiful boy. Mickey is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.
