Story
Maggy is a beautiful 6 yo CKC registered Poochon, looking for the right forever home. She is house trained, up to date on vaccines and takes monthly Nexgard Plus. She is very loving with the person she bonds with. Once Maggy chooses her person she stays by their side. She loves to cuddle and wants to be your constant companion. Because she forms strong attachments, she can be very protective. She does not like to share attention with other pets and has shown jealousy to our other dog. Our pet sitter has observed that Maggy is a one person dog.We want to be transparent about why we are rehoming her. After returning from a recent boarding stay, Maggy bit a person as they exited the elevator, likely “protecting me.”Regardless, this was a serious incident. She has nipped at a child when provoked, so should not be placed with children. She is very loving and loyal and it breaks our heart to rehome her. She will bring a lot of love and happiness to her forever person home.

Story
UPDATE!! Meet Doobie! This cute boy was in a local overcrowded shelter and we were able to pull to safety.. He’s a gorgeous 1 year old — 28 lb — Mini Doodle Mix of some sort.  He’s great with all dogs and is a super loving boy. He’s playful like all young doodles, but a total love. He’s great in the house and crate. Doesn’t mind the leash or car. He’s utd, hw neg (tested below detectable levels) and neutered.  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.  All dogs have a $195 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!  Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $145 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Thank you!
