UPDATE!&#226&#156&#168 Meet Boudreaux! This senior boy found himself at a local overcrowded shelter. He’s a toy poodle, who is 12ish years or so and 11 lbs. . He’s super sweet and good with other animals. He does have a cataract in one eye but still has vision. He’s settling into foster and doing well. Our groomer will be cleaning him up tomorrow. He’s looking for the perfect household to live out his golden years. He’s utd, hw neg (tested below detectable levels) and neutered. Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. All dogs have a $195 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy! Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. Stella is a 3-year-old, 50-to-55-pound mama dog of six, and she's a good one! A combination of Poodle and Sheepdog, she has a great temperament. Her foster says she's playful, dog friendly, super sweet, and loving. Add to that her beautiful coat, and it's obvious she's a terrific girl, don't you think? He was dumped by his breeder because his coats is wirehaired/scruffy, not curly. Boone is handsome, smart and friendly. He listens well and will be easily trained to do whatever his adopter(s) wish. Boone is crate trained and weighs 47 pounds. He transferred from the groomer that actually saved his life but had no space for him. He is playful and does well with other dogs. I believe he would also be good with cats. Boone came to this rescue in August 2025 and decompressed and blossomed while waiting for the $ to come in for neuter and vetting. Now neutered and healed, Boone is posted for adoption. He is heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm and flea preventives, and he is ready for a forever home. Cilantro was one of the most badly matted dogs we have ever taken into rescue. He was found roaming the streets and was in sorry shape, indeed! Along with the matting of his coat, our vet discovered that he had a major hernia, which was immediately removed. A Doodle mix, he is about 2 years old and weighs 53 pounds. Now he's a happy, happy boy who is super sweet, a real cuddle bug who loves toys and going on walks. In fact, he's a real social butterfly!
