Meet Scottie, a 9-year-old poodle who has absolutely no idea he’s blind. And we mean BLIND. He may occasionally run straight into a wall, pause for half a second like he’s reconsidering his life choices, and then simply readjust and keep on trucking. 😂 At 9, Scottie is getting close to his senior years, but he certainly doesn’t act like he has any limitations. He is confident, easy-going, and just happy to be wherever his people are. He’s house trained, wonderful with other dogs, and incredibly sweet, cuddly, and affectionate. He loves attention, but he’s also perfectly content to curl up in a cozy bed and take a nap when nobody is available to give him some love. Scottie is also VERY food motivated, which makes treats an excellent way to get his attention. 😉 He may be blind and getting up there in age, but Scottie hasn’t let either one slow him down. He’s just a happy little guy who keeps moving forward, occasionally with a wall-induced detour. 😂 Scottie’s adoption fee is $300 and includes his vaccines, neuter, microchip, and parasite prevention. Story
Herbert is basically a long-legged goofball with absolutely no concept of personal space, and we mean that in the best possible way. This silly, sweet boy wants one thing in life: to be somebody’s baby. Wherever you go, Herbert is coming too, preferably with at least one paw touching you at all times. He loves to snuggle, rub his big ol’ head against you, and make sure you never have to experience the tragedy of being alone in the bathroom again. Herbert is full of life and loves to PLAY. Toss a toy, head outside for some zoomies, or just give him room to flop around on those ridiculously long, lanky legs. He’s clumsy, wiggly, a little uncoordinated, and completely hilarious. But underneath all that goofy energy is an incredibly sweet boy. Herbert does wonderfully with other dogs and is very respectful of their boundaries. He also does well with cats and kids, and he’s already house trained and kennel trained. Herbert isn’t looking to quietly exist in the background. He wants to be part of your life, part of your family, and preferably right smack in the middle of whatever you’re doing. If you’re looking for a dog who will make you laugh, keep you company, play hard, snuggle harder, and love you with his whole goofy heart, Herbert is ready. When Doug arrived at Full Circle Rescue & Sanctuary, he was matted so badly that his coat was completely pelted to the skin. Underneath all that neglect was one very sweet little guy who just needed someone to believe in him. After just a week in foster care, Doug has completely started to blossom. He’s friendly, happy, loves his people, is wonderful with kids, house trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. Doug does well with other dogs, but he likes introductions on his terms. He can be a little reactive when first meeting a new dog and needs a minute to figure out that everything is okay. He’s worked with our trainer and has transitioned beautifully into a foster home with other dogs, so we know he can absolutely live happily with canine friends when given a proper introduction and a little patience. And then there’s the crate. Doug would like it officially documented that he is NOT a fan. After working with our trainer, however, he has begrudgingly compromised and decided crate life isn’t quite the personal attack he originally thought it was. No cats for this boy. Chasing them is just entirely too entertaining. Doug has already come such a long way in such a short time. He’s looking for a special family who understands that sometimes the dogs who have been through the most just need a little patience, consistency, and a whole lot of love.
