Story
MEET MILLIE! At around 5 months old and just 7.5 pounds, Millie may be tiny, but this little girl has a BIG personality! We think Millie may be a full miniature Poodle, but we're not making any promises because, honestly, your guess is as good as ours! And you're going to have to use your imagination a little when you look at her pictures because those luscious curly locks are currently missing! Millie came to us severely matted, and unfortunately, the only kind and humane option was to shave her down. So right now, she's rocking her short haircut while we wait for that beautiful curly coat to grow back. We have a feeling she is going to be one VERY fluffy little girl! And that means her future family needs to be prepared for coat maintenance. A Poodle-type coat requires regular brushing at home to prevent painful mats, along with routine professional grooming. Her gorgeous curls will need some work to stay gorgeous! Now, about the rest of Millie... She is 100% puppy. That means zoomies, chewing, biting, learning what she can and cannot put in her mouth, and plenty of puppy shenanigans. She's going to need a family who understands that puppies require patience, consistency, correction, and LOTS of redirections. Millie is also a total cuddle bug. She loves people and may be just a tiny bit shy at first, but she warms up quickly. She's doing well with her potty training and is already figuring out the dog door. Her leash skills are still very much a work in progress, but she's taking it in stride. Crate training is coming along, too. Millie does not love being alone and has made her feelings known when crated away from everyone. But when her crate was moved into the bedroom, she settled down and slept quietly all night. She's a girl who likes to know her people are nearby! And the dogs? She was initially a little unsure of her foster siblings, especially the bigger ones, but she quickly figured things out. She now initiates play, understands when another dog wants space, and plays independently beautifully. She could happily live with other dogs or be your one-and-only. Millie is sweet, playful, cuddly, energetic, and absolutely adorable. But remember: 7.5 pounds does not mean low maintenance. She is a BABY and will need a family ready to put in the work-not only with puppy training, but with keeping that beautiful coat healthy and mat-free. The tiny body, the big personality, and eventually those fabulous curls? Millie is going to be a showstopper.
