Story
Hi, I’m IKE. I’m a sweet, shy guy who’s still finding my confidence. I may be a little reserved at first, but with patience and gentle encouragement, my kind personality really shines through. I’m looking for a calm, understanding home where I can take things at my own pace and learn to trust. Once I feel safe, I enjoy quiet companionship and being near my people. If you have a little extra patience and a lot of love to give, I’d love the chance to be your new best friend.

Story
I dearly love these two brothers but I’m no longer capable of giving them the life they deserve. My partner of 30 years passed two years ago and our son is off on his own and now I’m dealing with my own medical issues. They are typical miniature poodles; playful, affectionate, smart and loyal. They need to be with a loving, dynamic family not a senior citizen who has a hard time getting to his feet. Gus came to us in 2013 from friends whose poodles had a litter. Jack joined us four years later. Same parents but different personalities for sure. As a senior Gus can be grumpy but warms up to everyone if you give him time. Might be a little obsessed with his stuffies. Jack instantly falls in love with everyone he meets and would play frisbee all day long if he could. I hope to find a new family for these knuckleheads. I’m not happy about it but I know it’s the right thing to do

Story
Daphne is the quintessential puppy! She is quick to attach and be a part of every part of your day. She is the perfect balance of playful energy and cuddly companionship. Her and her sister, Velma, are the sweetest curly girlies! They have crate trained quickly (sleeping overnight and crated up to 6 hours without issue) and are nearly 100% potty trained with a consistent routine, though accidents can happen if that routine is disrupted. They love running and playing outside together, then happily settle in for couch snuggles and scritches - which they absolutely live for. Daphne is still learning leash etiquette, but they walk together with practice and patience. They are quite distractible and skittish to sounds. They are curious and friendly by nature, play well with other dogs, and would likely do well with proper introductions. A fenced yard is REQUIRED. Neither Daphne nor Velma have been spayed yet due to their age and maturity level.

Story
Velma is the epitome of a poodle! She is skeptical at first, but once she knows you, she'll be attached to your hip! A little stubborn and sassy, she makes up for it with the BEST snuggles. She has mastered the chin rest on your arm or leg. Her and her sister, Daphne, are the sweetest curly girlies! Velma is EXCELLENT on a leash, although she can be skittish to sounds. They are curious and friendly by nature, play well with other dogs, and would likely do well with proper introductions. A fenced yard is REQUIRED. Neither Velma nor Daphne have been spayed due to their age and maturity level.

Story
UPDATED 11/29/26. PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE CONTACTING US. Adorable Helga came to the Nest from a local animal shelter as a new born together with her 5 siblings and mom (miniature poodle/bichon). She is a terrier mix and will be about 15(+) lbs. Helga is 14 weeks old, very sensitive, smart, adventourous, playful, sweet, and affectionate. She is ready to take on the world with a loving humans by her side. We would love for her to go home with either one of her sisters (Katy,Selah) or where there is another sweet and playful pup close to her size and age. Right now Helga is still a blank slate — curious, playful, and learning fast. Her adopter should be ready for the joys (and challenges!) of puppyhood: crate training, potty training, chewing, and plenty of energy....As she grows, she will need daily exercise, ongoing engagement, and continued guidance to become her best self. Bringing home a puppy is exciting — a big responsibility! Puppies need structure, consistency, and lots of positive exposure to the world around them. Socialization, consistent training, and daily interaction are what shape them into confident, well-manneredand happy adults. We highly recommend working with a professional trainer also for the socialization aspect. Please note: someone must be home every 4 hours at this stage of development. Helga means a 13+ year commitment, so please think carefully and consider all aspects of your life before adding her to your home. For Helga we are looking for: a home with active people who can give her all the love, attention and training she needs to turn into happy and well mannered adult dog. We would like for her to go to a home where there is another dog about her size (not more than 20 lbs.) and age (up to 3 years is fine) - preferably male and we would like a securely fenced in yard (sorry, we don't do invisible fences). Well behaved, gentle children - preferably age 3+ - are fine. Helga is current on vaccinations including Rabies, she is dewormed, spayed and micro chipped. Her adoption fee is $325. If you are interested in meeting Helga, please fill out an adoption application on our/The Nest website. One of our volunteers will contact you to confirm that we have received it. SHOULD WE DECIDE TO SET UP FURTHER STEPS TOWARDS ADOPTION we will contact you by phone. If you have questions, please email us at inthenest@gmail.com
