Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Paris is a darling Mini Poodle in search of her forever family. She was very nervous when she arrived to rescue but has taken a fond liking to her foster mom. Paris is very nervous around men and acclimates to women much quicker and easier. Paris will need a patient family willing to give her time to adjust and warm up.   ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: Physically fenced in yard to keep her safe - no invisible fences. Paris would do best in a home with a resident dog to help show her the ropes and boost her confidence.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped. Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly. January 12, 2026, 1:22 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website."Meet Reba!" Much like the Queen of Country Music, Reba is a natural at making new friends and would love to entertain you with her playful, curious, and loving little self while exploring her new world. After having performed her last rodeo as a breeding miniature poodle, she is ready to enjoy the simple things life has to offer, like a stroll in the garden to smell the miniature roses, a cozy spot for armchair birding, or a nice relaxing trip to the spa to keep those glamorous locks looking their best. When she's not busy perfecting her potty-training or on-leash skills, her favorite things to do include nibbling on soft chew toys (Kong, Frisco, Nylabone), noshing a healthy snack compliments of the Lick Mat or Woof Party Pupsicle consisting of plain Greek yogurt and canned pumpkin, or dog friendly peanut butter and plain, unsweetened applesauce (...simply delicious), or choosing a comfy spot with plush textiles for some R&R, even though she'd have you know she's "Not That Fancy"! Please make sure you give this sweet gal a chance to show you just how special she is. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. “Meet our very own Oliver Twist” Hi, my name is Oliver and much like that appealing orphan that Charles Dicken’s wrote about, I too am seeking the security of a family for my very own. I am approximately 6 years old and have recently been staying in a very busy house with 5 other furry friends. I get along great with everyone and don’t mind sharing my food, bones, or toys, and will even let you nap with me. I sleep like a log at night in my crate on this amazing donut bed and am just starting to enjoy “exploring” my surroundings. I occasionally get the zoomies when doing this whole “potty outside” thing, so you may want to keep the leash on me as I’m still working on “come” but I know that if I show you my belly, I’ll get scratches and man do I love those! I’m not an expert on leash yet and may not recognize all the commands you are saying to me but I’m a smart boy who’s willing to learn if you can be patient with me. My favorite treats are freeze-dried beef or salmon bites, and I just learned what a ball is…who knew? I like to nibble on those healthy Nyla bones or other KONG toys (dumbbells, bones, balls) I’m not fussy and enjoy a good nap on anything softy and cozy. Please give me a chance and consider making yours my furever home!      ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: Physically fenced in yard to keep him safe - no invisible fences. Confident and friendly resident dog to help show Oliver the ropes and boost his confidence. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website."Meet our very own Shotgun Willie!" This gentle "little" giant has a heart of gold and is known for his calm and serene demeanor. While he enjoys spending time outside in the garden, he takes extra care, ensuring he sniffs every weed, and sometimes twice. Willie  is a great listener and is learning so many new words like come, sit, stay, and outside. When he's not busy napping after exploring his new world or expanding his vocabulary, as a "Toothless dog" you can find him gumming a soft chew toy (Kong, Frisco, Nylabone), or enjoying a healthy snack at the Lick Mat or Woof Party Pupsicle smeared or filled with plain Greek yogurt and canned pumpkin, or dog friendly peanut butter and plain, unsweetened applesauce (...simply scrumptious). He'd have you know that he's the most laid-back, easy-going dog on the entire planet and is the perfect blend of independence and loyalty, making him a wonderful companion for just about any family!   ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: Physically fenced in yard to keep him safe. Willie would do best with a resident dog to help boost his confidence and show him the ropes.
