Meet Pepper, the floppiest, sweetest giant teddy bear you’ll ever lay eyes on!
At 8.5 months old, Pepper is an all-around lover boy with a heart as big as his paws, and believe us, those paws are humongous. He currently weighs around 55 lbs., but with those mitts, he still has plenty of growing to do. If you have been looking for an affectionate, goofy companion who thinks personal space is entirely optional, Pepper is ready to give you the biggest, best bear hugs of your life.
Personality & Vibe
Pepper is pure joy wrapped in curly fur. His favorite hobby? Soaking up attention like a sponge. He is as sweet and friendly as they come, always ready to lean in for head scratches, cuddle sessions, and full-body hugs.
Daily Routine & Energy
Pepper is a high-energy puppy who thrives when he has room to stretch those long legs:
- The Yard: He originally lived in an apartment, but after experiencing the joys of a big, fenced-in backyard in his foster home, there’s no going back! A home with a secure, fenced yard is ideal so he can run zoomies, chase toys, and burn off his puppy steam safely.
- On the Leash: Pepper does well on leash walks and loves exploring the neighborhood with his humans.
Other Pets & Kids
- Dogs: Pepper gets along wonderfully with his 5-year-old foster sister (a fellow doodle) and enjoys having a buddy. However, because he loves the spotlight, he would also thrive as a solo dog.
- Kids: He originally lived in a home with three small children with no reported issues. While his foster family hasn’t personally had him around little ones, his sweet nature suggests he loves people of all sizes.
Training & Potential
Pepper is smart and eager to connect, but he is still very much an adolescent puppy who needs a family willing to guide him into being his best self:
- Current Skills: He knows sit and is motivated by praise and affection.
- Areas to Polish: He is actively working on manners like come, stay, and especially off (remember those enthusiastic bear hugs!). Continued positive reinforcement training will help channel his energy and big personality into a well-mannered gentleman.
