Meet Endora – A Gentle Girl with a Love for Soft Things 📍 Located in Troy, MO 💻 Applications at leiashope.org Endora is a little lady learning what it's like to live in freedom after spending her early life in a puppy mill. She’s shy at first, but once she warms up, she politely asks for affection and enjoys quiet companionship. Her foster has established a mealtime routine that works perfectly for her—when she hears the call, Endora happily runs upstairs to the bedroom where her bowl is placed just inside the door. This quiet, uninterrupted space is where she feels most comfortable eating. She has a healthy appetite, is a good eater, and is currently on Adult Fromm which she eats twice a day. Endora is a big fan of soft comforts—she loves her open-door kennel filled with fluffy blankets and can often be found lounging in cozy dog beds. After spending her early life on a hard kennel floor, she’s finally learning what comfort feels like. She gets along well with other dogs and is watching them closely to learn how to play and enjoy toys. With a little more time and encouragement, she’ll be joining in on the fun! 📝 Requirements: Secure physical fenced yard Another young, confident dog in the home No children under 12 Mill dogs like Endora are under-socialized and easily startled by things we take for granted—leashes, television sounds, garbage trucks, kitchen appliances, etc. She will need a patient and understanding home willing to help her continue adjusting at her own pace. 🐾 Endora is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccinations, and on monthly flea and heartworm prevention. 💲 Adoption fee: $400 📍 Located in Troy, MO 💻 Applications at leiashope.org Please Note: Leia’s Hope is a volunteer-run rescue. Application processing takes 7–10 business days depending on our availability and your references. All dogs are in foster homes—there is no central facility. Meet and greets are scheduled only after an approved application. We do not ship or transport. Adopters must travel to the dog’s location, and all family members and current pets must be present. Dogs are a lifetime commitment. Puppies, in particular, may live 15+ years. If you're not prepared to commit to that, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where someone is frequently home, can provide proper training and socialization, and keep up with their energy and needs.

Story
**PLEASE READ BIO BEFORE APPLYING** He is an old man who spent his life as a breeder so is a nervous dog. He will need a fully fenced yard, he is not leash trained and will likely never be. Since Marlin lived his first 8 years in a crate, being used only for breeding, he is terrified of people. He would rather be seen and not touched. He needs a quiet home and another small friendly confident dog to show him around. He has been with his foster for over a year and has started walking outside and back in without having to be picked up, and doesn’t run when walked up to. There is not an aggressive bone in his body, but he is not going to be a dog that wants to snuggle anytime in the near future, or long walks in the park. The reward with owning a dog like Marlin is watching him come out of his shell and become a new dog. It just takes time.

Story
**READ BEFORE APPLYING** Meet Maci! This girl has had a very rough life and doesn’t know that life can be good. Maci was a breeder release, meaning she was likely in a crate for a majority or her short life. She has learned showing her teeth will get scary things away. She needs lots of patience and time to adjust but she does show a want for attention. She loves other dogs and cats and has not had an accident in her foster home. She can NOT go home with children under 16. She is absolutely terrified of loud noises and would not do well with children. She does need another confident dog in the home that can show her the ropes and a fully secured fenced in yard. Maci will not be a dog that will want to cuddle right away, she will need lots of time and patience.

Story
🐾🐾Frankie: Just when you think you've seen the cutest puppy ever!! This 6-month, 12 lb., Schnoodle is looking for a family that will love him Furever. Frankie loves to run with the big dogs! Fearless and endless energy. Hops? This boy has them, he hops from couches to chairs, to end tables. He's nosey, and will take on any obstacle to see whatever is going on. 🤣 His loves are meaty butcher bones, tennis balls and chicken feet. Frankie is bell trained to potty outside and will let you know with a quickness. His leash walking skills are excellent, he just goes with the flow. Frankie met a cat recently and was like "Whatever." Frankie loves dogs and prefers a playmate and a fenced yard to romp in. Note: he is not an apartment pup that will be left alone. He has a built in warning bark and not afraid to use it. Located in the Maryland Heights Mo area. https://airtable.com/shrSbfFkCdeRMtZw2?fbclid=IwAR2Q_R2qh2bk6pwcDPnrL8722wGTJORafSAWJObVLvz0g6ASJOFxLIdvsRw

Story
Meet Ava! 🐾✨ Age / DOB: Born April 30, 2026. 5lbs Breed: Believed to be a Mini Poodle Background: Breeder surrender from rural Central Missouri Training: Crate trained & actively learning leash manners! Energy Level: High energy, sweet, and play-motivated About Ava Ava is a bright-eyed, curly-coated pup who is ready to turn the page and start her next big chapter! Believed to be a Mini Poodle, this sweet girl was rescued as a breeder surrender and is embracing life with endless curiosity, tail wags, and a heart full of love. She has already mastered her crate training like a total star and is making great progress learning how to walk politely on a leash. Ava is the perfect blend of sweet cuddles and energetic puppy zoomies—she’s always up for a fun game in the yard or an afternoon adventure. Ideal Home Because Ava has so much fun energy and thrives on social interaction, she would do best in a home with another dog brother or sister. Having a canine companion will give her a playmate to romp around with and a confidant to help show her the ropes as she continues to learn and grow! Ready to Make Ava Part of Your Family? If you're looking for a loving, energetic puppy to add sunshine (and lots of play sessions) to your home, Ava is ready to meet you! Apply to adopt her today. 🐶💛
