Story
Say hello to Fozzie Bear (aka Fuzz Bucket or FB), a fuzzy half sheep, half muppet dog who’s 95 percent the sweetest boy and 5 percent a spicy little turd. Fozzie is about 8.5 years old and around 10 pounds, and we think he’s probably a Poodle mix of some kind (maybe Poodle-Shih Tzu?). He came into rescue after his owner passed away. Fozzie is mostly a typical dog who loves to go on walks and play with toys. He enjoys running around in the yard, but a home without a fenced yard wouldn’t be a deal-breaker as long as he got enough on-leash time outside. He seems to be fully house trained and hasn’t had a single accident in his foster home. What he needs more than anything is a home with patience. Fozzie’s biggest challenge is that he’s got some guarding behaviors, so he can get a little snippy under specific circumstances, like when he’s laying next to one person on the couch, and another person tries to pet him or get him off the couch. His evil twin also sometimes shows up at the groomer or the vet, and occasionally around food if other dogs enter his personal space. His little outbursts are relatively few and far between as long as he stays on his medications (fluoxetine and trazodone), and outside of the occasional tiff with the house dogs, he’s done pretty well with all of them. He desperately wants to be friends with the house Chihuahua, but she’s also a bit of a turd and so that hasn’t worked out so well for Fozzie. She’s toothless and still manages to boss him around somehow. Despite his imperfections, Fozzie is a wonderful little dog with a ton of love to give. Here’s what we think he needs in a new home to be successful: - An adult-only home. We think children won’t have the maturity to understand that dogs are allowed to have boundaries, too. - A home where someone is around most of the time. Fozzie can be an insecure little fella, and being alone too long stresses him out. He’s never been destructive in any way, even with run of the house, but he’s not the kind of dog who would be happy or comfortable being home alone for 8 or 10 hours several days a week. - A home with dog experience that is willing to work with and around his quirks. Fozzie and his previous owner worked very successfully with a trainer, so he’s definitely trainable. His foster mom and dad have found him totally manageable! - A home without other dogs OR with other dogs his size. We could see his mouth writing checks his butt can’t cash with larger dogs. If there are other dogs in the home, intros should be slow, and ideally, he could be kept somewhere separate while the humans are away just in case. If you love cute, curly little dogs and are ready for the most rewarding challenge ever, Fozzie Bear is your man! ———————————————————- The adoption donation for Fozzie Bear is $250. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention (age appropriate). If you would like to meet this dog, you must have an approved application on file and be willing to travel to the Mahoning County/Columbiana County, Ohio area for a meet and greet. All of our dogs reside in foster homes. We do not have a physical shelter. Applications will be reviewed/approved and each dog will be placed in the home that can best meet their individual need. If you live in a residence with a Homeowner’s Association (HOA) please make sure you check that the dog you are interested in does not violate size or breed restrictions. A successful adoption is our goal. Submitting an application does not guarantee adoption of any dog. We require you call your established veterinarian asap to schedule a wellness visit. —————————- Our applications can be found by clicking on the “adoption application” link at https://apaprescue.com Our primary form of communication is email. Story
This cute little scruffy guy is Tino, and he’s ready to find his forever family! Tino is great in his kennel and potty trained, which is always a wonderful bonus! He may take a minute to warm up to new people, but once he decides you’re his friend, get ready for the silliest, happiest little personality. 🥰 He’s curious about the world around him and loves getting to know his surroundings. He has been a little nervous and unsure around toddlers, so we think he’d do best with respectful older kids or adults who can give him time to feel comfortable. Once Tino warms up, his goofy side comes out—and that adorable scruffy little face is hard to resist! Local adoption fee is $350(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Please note that this dog is currently located in TX and will be transported once adopted. Our application can be found at haydudeequine.org. Oh, this is already hilarious. 😂 I’d lean even harder into the **tiny German supervisor** bit, while making Betty sound so lovable that people immediately want to meet her. Here’s a punchier version: **Guten Tag.** I am Betty Boop. Yes, like ze cartoon. No, I do not find zis ironic. I am a 4-year-old Miniature Schnauzer with excellent house manners, a magnificent beard, and a very important job: **keeping everyone else under control.** You see, someone has to maintain order around here. When other dogs begin wrestling, zooming, celebrating, or generally behaving like complete hooligans, I step in. Immediately. I do not yell. I do not make a scene. I simply arrive with my eyebrows, my beard, and ze unmistakable look of a tiny German supervisor who has seen enough. I may need a little time to decide if other dogs are acceptable. Once I have completed my investigation and determined they understand the rules, we can be friends. Probably. But if anyone gets too rowdy, I will issue a correction. **Ordnung muss sein.** There will be ORDER. Now, **humans?** Ahhh, humans are different. ❤️ I love EVERYBODY. Stranger? Come sit down, bitte. Have you met me? No? Doesn't matter. Are you holding a lap? Excellent. I will be occupying it immediately. I am affectionate, devoted, and very serious about my cuddle schedule. Petting is not merely encouraged. **It is mandatory.** I am also a professional shadow. Where you go, I go. Kitchen? I am there. Living room? Already there. Bedroom? Obviously. Bathroom? **Especially bathroom.** I don't know why Americans think they need privacy. This is very strange to me. If you are showering, I will supervise. If you are brushing your teeth, I will supervise. If you are doing absolutely nothing of importance, I will still supervise. I am looking for a home where my person is around a lot because I am not interested in being a part-time employee. I am seeking a **full-time human.** Preferably one with a lap. I may be a little bossy with my fellow dogs, but underneath all ze eyebrows and managerial responsibilities is a sweet, affectionate little girl who wants nothing more than to love her person, be by their side, and make sure everyone is following proper household procedures. I am dignified. I am loyal. I am fabulous. I am slightly judgmental. And frankly, my beard deserves its own zip code. So, if you are looking for a tiny German supervisor who will love you with her whole heart, follow you everywhere, inspect every suspicious activity, and occasionally remind the other dogs who is really in charge... **Congratulations. Your search is over.** Ich bin Betty. 🇩🇪❤️ **Now please sit down. I have an inspection to conduct.**
