Story
This resilient boy has a gentle spirit and Meet Uno, an 11-year-old ray of sunshine and beloved resident of the sanctuary. Rescued after spending over a year wandering alone along railroad tracks, Uno arrived with a severely matted coat and eyes scarred from prolonged exposure to the elements. He takes medications and Vitamin Supplements to help his eyes. Despite his rough past, Uno's spirit shines bright. He’s an incredibly happy boy who radiates love and joy to everyone he meets. His gentle heart, wagging tail, and ever-present smile remind us daily of the resilience of animals and the healing power of compassion. Uno truly lives up to his name—he’s one of a kind. So much love to give.

Story
Meet Pepper – A Sweet, Shy Poodle Mix Looking for Her Forever Home Pepper is a gentle, loving little dog who has made incredible progress learning to trust and open up. She’s about 3 years old, around 20 lbs, and has a soft, calm spirit once she feels safe. ✨ What makes Pepper special: • She loves slow mornings, cozy naps, and following her person from room to room. • Once she bonds, she is incredibly loyal and sweet. • She’s done very well with older kids who know how to be calm and gentle. • She’s great with potty training and is getting better every day. 🌸 The home she needs: Pepper would thrive as the only dog in a calm, nurturing home where she can get lots of love and patience. She can be shy at first, but with a gentle voice and consistency, she blossoms into a wonderful companion. I want Pepper to go to someone who can give her the attention and safe space she deserves. She’s such a special little dog, and I know the right person will fall in love with her.

Story
Janet is looking for a loving foster home to help her recover while she is receiving medical treatment. Foster Reason: Upper Respiratory Infection (URI) Foster Time Frame: 7-10 days(The foster time frame could be longer depending on future medical results and needs.) Foster Care Plan: Janet is currently being treated for an upper respiratory infection, which is similar to a common cold. Since she may be contagious to other pets, we strongly recommend keeping her in a separate, dedicated space such as a spare bathroom or bedroom until she has fully recovered. She will go to her foster home with medication, and once her treatment is complete, she’ll be ready for surgery/adoption. Foster to Adopt: Janet is available through our Foster to Adopt program, which allows pets awaiting or undergoing medical treatment to be placed with prospective adopters before they are made available for adoption. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please visit https://www.operationkindness.org/foster/ or email us at foster@operationkindness.org to learn more.
