Female only Home PLEASE READ ENTIRE BIO Scout is an adorable 1 year old, 12 lbs mini schnauzer/west highland terrier mix puppy,. For sure, this little guy is ALL puppy! Puppies are tons of fun but do require ALOT of work and training on your part to be the best pup he can be! He needs love, attention and lots of consistency especially for housebreaking! His little bladder can't hold it all day so please make sure you can commit to the puppy not being left alone for long periods of time. If that's not possible, please consider one of our adult dogs which might be better suited for your lifestyle! He loves leash walks, but is nervous with getting his harness on, he does get a little protective at first if we see other pups on the walk. He would love to have a FEMALE human or 2 for his new family, he NEEDS TO BE the ONE AND ONLY pet in the home! MUST be very active as he is quite the energizer bunny when it comes to attention and playtime! . He loves to play ball, and would all day if you have the energy and patience. He does play with fluffy, stuffy toys on his own. He loves to snuggle after playing, and his favorite place is on top of his human, maybe a lap or your legs. As long as part of him is touching his human. He would need a single family home preferably with a secure fenced in yard so he can have a place to run and burn some of his puppy energy off. He is mostly house trained, but still being a puppy, he needs to get out often and of course he is going to need to get into a routine in his new home, but he is getting there! He is in a foster home with other pups and is learning quickly how to be a “good boy”. Scout was surrendered as he was not in a safe environment. He was in a home that had too much energy and was very vocal. Yep that can happen sometimes. There were younger, active, vocal kids along with larger, active vocal dog. And active vocal adults.. This caused Scout some confusion. Several months ago he started, as his communications To become growly/and growling at the active, vocal energy around him.. He also developed some resource guarding. There was some training to try to correct this. His foster mom is continuing his training.. He’s a work in progress. He is also FEARFUL of men. He takes a little bit to trust. His new home will need to have a confident Alfa Female human to teach him and guide him on all things trusting and how to be the BESTEST boy. And to build his confidence. Prefer a home without men. Don’t let all the cuteness fool you.? He’s a puppy. He’s a work in progress if you have the patience to work with him. He’s learning to be the bestest boy and who can resist that great smile, and those ears. Scout has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and is on heartworm and flea prevention. Might he be the guy for you? Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application. Love and tail wags!!!! Please submit an application with the viprescue.org to come meet me and give me the best life. Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. If you’ve had more than one Vet in the past 3 years, please provide all the names and number for each vet. This breed typically lives 15-18 years, so please keep that lifespan in mind, as your age should be appropriate for the pets estimated lifespan. All of us at VIP Rescue are Volunteers, with families, jobs and pets of our own, so please be kind and patient. We select the most fitting application for the dog, not necessarily the timeliest adoption application. Please make sure to read the entire bio on the pet you’re interested in before applying to adopt to make sure you meet the pets needs. Thank you for thinking rescue. Story
Meet Domino! Domino is 6 month old, Schnauzer/Doodle Mix. He is about 20lbs now and expected to be around 35. He is a stage 10 clinger and would rather sit next to you 24/7 than do anything else. He is super affectionate to people and loves to play with dogs. Domino is vocal in a crate but completely quiet if left out. He is very smart and already knows how to sit and even opens lever door handles 😂. Domino lives with his foster mom in Coral Springs, FL.
