Story
Meet Charlie, the affectionate snuggle bug seeking a loving home! He thrives on companionship and trust. While he will bark at new dogs and people, he calms down with time. Charlie gets along well with other dogs but should be in a cat-free home. He can be a bit hyper around kids, so an adult-only household is best. As Schnauzer, he has a unique thinner coat and has had past dietary issues, but he’s fine with a quality diet. He has a few missing teeth, so softer treats are ideal. Charlie is potty trained but needs a clean area and takes his time outside, requiring extra care. If you can offer him love and patience, he will reward you with cuddles and loyalty. Requirements for adopting Charlie: - A fenced yard. - Must take him for short walks. - No other dogs or cats preferred. - No children under 16. - Must be home most of the time. - No renters, please. - Must live in Florida, ideally within 60 miles of Sarasota-Bradenton. Adoption fee will be donated to shelter of your choice.

Story
PLEASE READ THE ANIMAL’S PROFILE AND ALL NOTES BELOW BEFORE APPLYING! Hi… I’m **Moe** 🐾 I’m a 10-year-old Terrier, and yes — I’m blind. But you might not even notice! I’ve gotten pretty good at learning my surroundings, and once I know the “lay of the land,” I move around with confidence. My foster says I surprise everyone with how quickly I figure things out. I’m a sweet, loving, laid-back little guy who just wants to be near my human. That’s really my favorite thing — companionship. I enjoy gentle play, I get along with big and small dogs, and I’m friendly with kids too. I’m submissive, kind, and have a calm confidence about me. I may be a senior, but I still have a playful spark! I’m potty trained, but since I’m a blind senior, I do best when I’m let outside regularly on a schedule. Belly bands can also help if needed. I just need someone patient and understanding — I promise I’m worth it. My dream home would be calm and cozy. A small family (1–3 people) would be perfect, especially if someone is home most of the time — maybe you work from home or you’re retired? I’d really love that. I’d also enjoy having a small, gentle dog sibling to keep me company. A fenced backyard would make things easier for me to safely explore and do my business. I may not see the world with my eyes, but I feel it with my heart. And I have so much love left to give. If you’re looking for a loyal little companion who just wants to be by your side, I’m your guy. 💛 Adoption FEE: $150 which includes his neuter, microchip, and vaccines. It is also a donation to go directly back to us to help us continue to rescue more animals. I am a super cute, lovable 8-month-old Schnauzer mix pup (approx. DOB 6/1/25). I might be small, but I have a story of huge resilience. I was rescued from a backyard breeder in Pinellas County. When I was first saved, I couldn't walk at all, but I’ve worked so hard, and I am now a happy, zooming puppy who loves life! My Personality I am incredibly sweet and affectionate. Now that I’ve learned how to walk, I love to explore! I am playful, eager to be loved, and just want to be with my people. My Medical Journey I do have some ongoing neurological problems with my back, but that doesn’t slow my spirit down! My wonderful rescue is working hard to raise funds for a specialized neurologist consult to find out our best options for my care. I am looking for a special adopter who can help me continue my journey to becoming as strong as possible. My Ideal Home Other Dogs:  Yes, I get along great with other dogs! Cats:  I don’t mind them at all. Kids:  Because I’m still a puppy and a little "mouthy" when I get excited, I am recommended for a home with mature children. If you are looking for a lovable, brave little companion and are willing to manage my neurological needs, I am ready to be your best friend. Pretzel's adoption fee is $500 - obedience training is required after adoption and fully enclosed front or backyard is also required.
