Mana is 13 years old. She is very shy at first but warms up quickly. Mana can be a very energetic for an elderly dog. We adopted her from a Poodle rescue shelter. She was bred for most of her life. She has spent the past six years with us in a happy home. She does get along with other animals especially cats and puppies. She can be very maternal to others and is very protective and caring.

Story
    Hi  My name is Johnnie Cash, Dog in black!   Actually only my front is all black, lol.  I have black and grey everywhere else.  I am about 5 years old and currently only weigh 12 pounds.  I am lucky as I need to gain a pound or so, so I get some extra food!   I love to eat! I came from a noisy shelter recently and am now in a foster home with 3 other small dogs. We are all boys so we have fun seeing who is last to mark a bush!!  I get along fine with them but I am so new they aren't ready to play with me yet.   Foster mom says I am one of the best behaved dogs she has ever had.  Pretty impressive!! I came to her fully potty trained and I love my crate.  I don't make a sound in the crate in the car or when she leaves or is sleeping.  I eat my dry food with no complaint and enjoy any treats that come my way.     I love people, and given just a few minutes I will ask for pets from them.  I do put my paws on your legs so you can pet my sweet face.  I am happy for you to pet me all day.  I am also comfortable with being combed and getting cleaned up.  This mom has done all kinds of crazy things to me, which is fine because she is touching me.  I don't get on furniture unless I am invited.     I am loving the fenced in yard here and hope to have that in my furever home. I run all over and explore. I have to rehome my five-year-old lovable mini schnauzer. ( Not for sale) His name is Kylo Ren. He's house trained, loves long walks and will sleep all day in my lap in my Lazy Boy if I never move. I've taught him some sign language hand gestures and he has been socialized at the kennel he goes to. He loves playing tug of war and keep away with his toys. I'm looking for a loving warm family with possibly other small doggy siblings. This is the second hardest thing I had to do after seeing my son off to college. Please follow through if you consider inviting another lovable member into your family. 🙏🏾🤗 EDIT#1: I've been getting wonderful responses. I'll leave you a voice mail if I move on to other families. EDIT #2 :(1-17-26) I'm evaluating 2 awesome families right now for Kylo Ren. They've had the first meet and greet with him. I will take on more introduction if neither one of these families work out.
