Story
THIS POST WILL BE REMOVED WHEN THE DOG IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. INQUIRIES ABOUT THE ADOPTION STATUS WILL NOT BE RETURNED. Gaston is a male schnauzer, born 6/24/2023. He is a very spunky, playful, and sassy little boy. Full of personality and ready to play with human brother or foster sister at a moments notice. He is definitely schnauzer and let's the sassy talk fly! He would so well with a playful resident dog to show him the ropes and be a fun companion. Curious about the world and loves his humans. Crate training is ongoing and while he doesn't love the crate, he does well in it. Just takes time to get used to. It's hard to be away from your favorite humans! Potty training is coming along. I will potty outside, but haven't quite caught on that potty is only outside. So this is a work in progress. But what do you expect? I'm still a baby! My vaccinations are appropriate for my age and once cleared by my vet, I will be neutered. WHEN APPLYING TO ADOPT THIS PUPPY PLEASE TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION WHERE YOU WILL BE IN YOUR LIFE IN 10-15 YEARS! SMALL DOGS EASILY LIVE INTO THEIR TEENS. The suggested adoption donation for Gaston is a minimum of $700 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". All of our dogs that come from a commercial breeding facility require a securely fenced yard AND a resident companion dog, unless the dog's bio states otherwise. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment. Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information

Story
LOOKING FOR FOSTER OR FOSTER TO ADOPT HOME IN THE SIDNEY, NE AREA     GERTRUDE   &   MABEL   Located in Dalton, NE  Terrier/Schnauzer & Dachshund mixes is our guess   3-4 Gertrude (tan), Mabel is around 1 or so (black)  Dog friendly  Cats unknown but likely fine   Kid friendly  Potty trained (mostly)  Shy but smart and sweet girls  Secure fence a must   Will be fully vetted once spayed on May 10th  15 pounds (Gertrude), 12.6 pounds (Mabel)   This BONDED mother and daughter duo were dumped on the north side of Sidney a couple of weeks ago and were seen and then posted by multiple people who tried to help but were not able to. These girls were TERRIFIED. After several days and with bad weather and freezing temps rolled in we set traps and were able to recover both girls. We named them Gertrude and Mabel and they went to the vet this week and got a make over, treated for fleas, wormed, chipped and vaccinated. Thank you to everyone who donated  to that appt.    At the appt, it was determined Gertrude was likely 3-4 and has had puppies in the past; and that Mabel is around a year. Based on this we believe they are mother and daughter.  They are also bonded and we are hoping to find a place for them together.    We are looking for a foster, or foster or adopt home in Sidney (or very close) so they can easily get to their spay appt on May 10.    Gertie and Mabel need to go together. They are 90% potty trained. Still a bit shy, but they warm up quickly. Both the vet and the groomer fell in love ♥   A secure fenced yard is required.  We can cat test.  They are so deserving; please contact us if interested or have questions.    To Contact Us Message the Page  Facebook Message Cilena Dueker TEXT Cilena at 308-249-4308 Fill out our Foster Application at  https://www.highplainspaw.org/foster-application Fill out our Adoption Application at https://www.highplainspaw.org/adoption-application Email us at highplainspaw@gmail.com    $200.00 Adoption Fee   (The $200.00 is considered a nonrefundable donation and being we are a 501c3 organization it is tax deductible. The fee itself is not negotiable, our vets don't negotiate and thus neither do we).   WE DO NOT HAVE A FACILITY ALL OUR DOGS ARE LOCATED IN FOSTER HOMES. This means there is no place for you to go in person to view our dogs. We ask that an application be filled out and we will go from there!   We do ALLOW out of state adoptions, HOWEVER the adopter MUST pick the dog up in person and DRIVE or FLY (IN CABIN ONLY) the dog back at the adopters expense. We do NOT coordinate transport.     by Cilena ##1696990##
