Story
THIS POST WILL BE REMOVED WHEN THE DOG IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. INQUIRIES ABOUT THE ADOPTION STATUS WILL NOT BE RETURNED. Dipper turned a year old in the freedom of a loving foster home. A purebred liver Schnauzer, he was released by the commercial breeder and is seeking a loving forever home where he can be part of a patient family. The perfect match for Dipper will have a resident canine to show him the ropes, a securely fenced yard (as he is still learning house training and lacks the confidence to walk or potty on leash) and a patient family who will give him the guidance and emotional support to become a well-balanced family pet. Dipper will do best in a calm, adult-only home or with teens or older children. He frightens easily and will benefit from routine and consistency. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. The suggested adoption donation for Dipper is a minimum of $600 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". All of our dogs that come from a commercial breeding facility require a securely fenced yard AND a resident companion dog, unless the dog's bio states otherwise. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment. Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information

Story
THIS POST WILL BE REMOVED WHEN THE DOG IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. INQUIRIES ABOUT THE ADOPTION STATUS WILL NOT BE RETURNED. Opal is a purebred Cairn Terrier who has recently retired from a commercial breeding facility and is seeking a loving, forever home. As she is still learning the ropes of living indoors, house training, etc.the ideal home for Opal will have someone home a lot, or a family with rotating schedules, to keep her on a routine and consistent potty schedule. As she is still shy and frightened by loud noises and sudden movements, a calm environment will help her to gain confidence. She is still not bold enough to walk, or potty while on a leash, a securely fenced yard will be required in addition to a resident dog for companionship and to model appropriate canine behavior. Opal enjoys being part of a pack and included in family activities.  She is thriving with routine and structure, but being nearby is what she wants most.  She loves squeaky toys over the harder material ones and will wear them out.   The suggested adoption donation for Opal is a minimum of $500 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit.
