Story
Lottie was found in subfreezing weather, completely neglected, some kind of fabric matted into her fur. Most of her tail is missing. But that was then. She has emerged a loving soul who holds no grudges. Lottie has a calm, affectionate nature and loves being around people of all ages, and dogs too. At 1-1/2 years old and ten pounds, she is crate trained and easily learning housetraining - not an easy exercise in our recent frigid weather! Lottie is spayed and up to date with vaccinations. She's an absolute delight who's waiting to soak up all the attention, kindness and love you're willing to give. Want to be part of Lottie's next chapter? Applications at www.pounddogfounddog.org. Fostered in Barnegat NJ.

Story
Hi!  My name is Scotty and I am looking for a forever home. I was part of an operation to rescue over 80 small dogs in order to put a backyard breeder out of operation as we were not being very well taken care of.  One of those rescues reached out to BCAA to see if they could help some of us and they said yes ... yeah!  We were all pretty scared when we first came into foster but everyone has been so nice to us and with some TLC and time, we are slowly coming out of our shells.  I would love to find a quiet home, maybe with a friend or two to help me learn the ropes.  I appear to be all schnauzer although I do not come with any paperwork so no guarantee!  I weigh a little under 16lbs and at around 2years old, I shouldn't get any bigger.  I have done well in my crate with just a couple of accidents, no barking or tearing up of any of my bedding.  While I am still trying to figure out what that leash thing is for, I have never had a leash on before so will need continued training and in the meanwhile I will need a physically fenced yard in order to take care of my business.  If you would like to meet me or one of my friends, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter.
