Story
Meet Eli, your loyal little shadow with a big heart! He is a 12-year-old Miniature Schnauzer who we adopted 9 years ago. He spends most of the day snoozing and is a very sweet, devoted companion. He loves car rides, walks, and curling up next to you. He knows basic commands and is housebroken. He still runs and climbs stairs easily and has so much heart left to give. He was recently diagnosed with Cushing’s disease (manageable with daily meds), and we’re financially no longer able to pursue further testing/treatment. He’s also overwhelmed by our home with young children, so an adult-only, quiet home is best. He has some separation anxiety and a history of resource guarding (toward me--it disappears when I’m not around). He has well-managed megaesophagus that requires only elevated feeding (no meds). If you're looking for a loyal, snuggly companion, Eli may be your match. We're hoping to find him a quiet, loving home where he can live out his senior years with peace and care.

Story
Meet Tabitha! Tabitha is a playful, moderately energetic 7-month old 20lb puppy who LOVES toys, treats, and exploring. She particularly enjoys fetch in the backyard with a squeaky ball. (She also loves playing inside with a squeaky ball or rope toy!) She's a good walker, and will make an excellent walking/hiking/running buddy once she's got her leash skills dialed in. After a couple days of complaints, Tabitha now settles into her crate beautifully both during the day and at night. She is very food-motivated, and while we're working on her tendency to jump, she has already learned that only sitting will get her what she wants. In all, she's a happy dog who just sometimes needs help containing all that excitement in her tiny body. Tabitha also LOVES people and playing with other dogs. If you're new to your neighborhood, she'll make friends for you! She'd be a wonderful addition to a home with adults who love the outdoors (she loves to sit and sunbathe when she's not chasing a ball or exploring), and potentially with older children who can handle puppies calmly. While she's a dog that will need moderate physical exercise, she will primarily need loving adopters willing to provide consistent training and mental stimulation -- she might even enjoy exploring dog sports.
