Miniature Schnauzer puppies and dogs in North Carolina

Hershey was our daughter's while in college and has been with us since Covid. He is a very good dog, but now my husband and I are both retired and travelling so much and it is getting harder to find someone as often as we are gone, and we do not want to board him. He would be best in a home with a yard that he can run around in from time to time, although we have never had a yard and he has done fine without. He is very well house trained, does not have accidents, and chews only on dog bones. He does not always play well with other dogs. I think he is very territorial to his people. And he has not been around cats or children. He will make a perfect companion for someone that is home a bunch. He is very loving, but he doesn't want to share love with others! He snuggles at times, and at times he just wants to be able to see you! He is a barker when in new environments, but if he's with you in your house, he will be perfect! The only real downer is his car anxiety. Just don't go driving!

My name is GEORGIA (SRC3600)  I was borne on July 1, 2021.  I weigh approximately 15 pounds. I am a white spayed Mini Schnauzer female with Natural Ears and  Docked Tail.  I am microchipped, have all my vaccinations, am heart-worm negative and, am  spayed .  I have been evaluated for a minimum of 2 weeks by my foster mom who is located in MT. Pleasant, South Carolina. I am such a sweetheart, and I love to cuddle.  My foster Mom brags on me for being so sweet. I have been around other Minis and do very well with them. Our Story  Georgia and her brother, Tucker, both came into SRC care recently and are being  prepared for adoption by a foster parent who has gone thru our approval process.   We at SRC just want them both to have that loving home they deserve.  Their first family loved us both very much yet personal issues made it impossible for her family to keep Georgia and Tucker. Georgia has a sibling named Tucker who is also available for adoption.  They may be adopted together as they are bonded, or they could be adopted together.  It is important that they be adopted together so SRC will discount their tax deductible donation if they are adopted together. They loved Georgia and Tucker enough to assure that they went to the best possible adoptive family and that is why they selected SRC to place them both in an adoptive home where they will be loved and cared for the remainder of her lifetime.    Georgia and Tucker are used to having a fenced yard so it would be preferred that her adoptive family has a fenced yard.  This Minis is used to sleeping in a crate, and until recently Georgia was used to sleeping in an extra large crate with her brother, Tucker.  They are leash trained and house broken.  Naturally like all Minis they are not very happy at having to go outside to potty in the rain and cold weather.  She has learned to sit on command Georgia gets along very well with other dogs but she has never been exposed to cats. Both Minis are very friendly and LOVE cuddle time.  They enjoys car rides yet Georgia loves to tell you in her own way about things that happen  on the trip. All you have to do is translate "bark- bark".   When ready for adoption these dogs will be heart-worm  tested (negative), de-wormed, vaccinations brought up to date,  spayed / neutered if not done already, micro-chipped, examined  by a vet and any necessary medical issues found by this vet will be addressed. It is anticipated that these dogs will be released for adoption by the same date as the completion of the Evaluation. The date of release of these dogs are at the discretion of the SRC Core Team.    GEORGIA AND HER BROTHER, TUCKER, ARE BEING FOSTERED IN  MT. My name is TUCKER (SRC#3601). I am 4 years old and my birthdate is April 19, 2021.  I weigh approximately20 pounds. I am a Mini Schnauzer  with Cropped Ears and  Docked Tails.  I am white with a couple of wisps of black (foot and nubbin). Both of them are leash trained (although Tucker does pull a little bit, but that is because he wants to enjoy as much exploring as possible) and both  are house broken.  Naturally like all Minis they are not very happy at having to go outside to potty in the rain and cold weather.  Tucker has learned to sit on command, and   how to spin around on command.
