We’d like you to take a look at this adorable little puppy – Luna, a Schnoodle (Schnauzer/Poodle blend) who (the vet estimates) was born around Valentine’s Day, 2025...which is entirely appropriate, since she is the sweetest girl ever!
Through no fault of her own, Luna came into our rescue program from a nice family who could no longer keep her. She is all puppy with seemingly limitless energy! She weighs about 8 lbs. And is mostly black with small bits of white on her chin, chest, and paws. She is in good health, has a great appetite, and does well on a leash. She is doing well with her house-training, given appropriate and consistent opportunities to be taken outside. Luna enjoys car rides and is up for any adventure you may have in mind. She is a wonderfully intelligent little imp!
Luna loves all creatures! She tries to engage her foster family’s cat, but he isn’t too interested in playing with her. At puppy playcare, Luna likes to wrestle and chase other dogs and is not easily intimidated, even if her playmates are larger than she is. She also loves to play fetch, and will bring her “wabbit” or her Kong back to you for yet another toss. And if no other pups (or humans!) are available for playtime, she happily entertains herself with her many squeaky toys.
That said, we are seeking a family where there is another young, playful dog – and where there is also a fenced-in yard to help keep the pups safe from predators and from becoming lost. We also prefer that any children in the home are older, just because Luna is so very small. We don’t want roughhousing to unintentionally scare or hurt her.
Luna will be spayed and microchipped in July. She is current on her rabies and DHP/Parvo vaccines and is on heartworm prevention.
Luna’s adoption fee is $450.00.
Please note that if you are unable to adopt Luna but would like to help cover any vetting expenses by donating through the Petfinder Foundation while she is waiting to find her new family, please click the “Sponsor” tab in the purple box on the right side of this page. Thank you so much for supporting her!
When adopting or purchasing a dog, please consider the care and grooming involved with long-haired breeds such as Luna. They are considered "high maintenance" because they do require frequent brushing, as well as regular trips to the groomer. If this doesn’t fit into your lifestyle or budget, then a short-haired breed may be a better choice for you.
Forever Home Canine Rescue offers a three-week trial period with all of our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adopting family. The fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have the perfect "forever" home!
Forever Home Canine Rescue adopts out-of-state, but we never ship or transport our pets. An approved adopter must come to North Carolina to meet their new canine companion and then take him/her back home with them.
We would like to thank Ashley Whitehead, who took these wonderful photos of Luna to help her find a wonderful forever home.
