Odi was found as a stray along with his siblings and Mom in South Korea. All were taken to a high kill shelter and after 14 days would be euthanized. A local rescue pulled all to find them forever homes. Berry the Mom found a home in Toronto and is doing well. Now some of her pups deserve the same opportunity. Odi is a female, 1 year old, Schnauzer/Jindo mix, 12 lbs, spayed, utd vaccinations, microchipped, vet checked, and Snap4dx negative. ODI is friendly with everyone including kids, good with dogs, can be cat tested, and simply needs a family of her own. If interested, please email dcdgavel@gmail.com for an adoption application.

Story
Jazz Female / 12 years / spayed Cairn Terrier x mini Schnauzer cross Meet Jazz the senior dog dumped at a shelter & who deserves a great home to live out the rest of her life. She’s 19 lbs & has a beautiful Smokey coloured coat! She will need regular grooming & brushing. She was severely matted when we rescued her, with feces cemented into her coat :( We don’t know a whole lot about her past but she has lived in a home & was housetrained. Accidents should be expected as she adjusts to her new home! She does not belong in a shelter & should have a warm comfy dog bed to lounge in :) Health notes: - cataracts on eyes from old age (no treatment needed right now) - can nip when stressed out (kids are not advised) - a very patient, kind owner is needed - has some stomach sensitivities and seems to be quite picky with food, eating very little if not encouraged - we therefore need an owner who’s home most of the time (retired or works from home) & who is extremely patient to allow Jazzy to open up and feel safe If you’d like to foster to adopt Jazz apply now: You can find my form " Rescue Dog Adoption Application" at: https://form.jotform.com/211694512438255 Currently in Hamilton, ON Adoption fee is $500

Story
BRINLEE is ready for a forever home! Brinlee has come a long way from her medical scare, thanks to the love and patience of her foster families and an excellent specialist and all the support and donations that many of you made for her care. For those of you who don’t know her, Brinlee is a 2 year old, 17 lb terrier mix. She gave us quite a scare shortly after she came into rescue but we have learned that Brinlee has a chronic medical issue that causes her to alternate between urinary retention and incontinence called reflex dyssynergia. Let’s be clear that despite this issue, Brinlee is a normal loving dog and she is a loyal companion who's ready to shower her new family with love. We have no reason to believe that Brinlee won’t live a normal happy life. But we need a forever family for Brinlee who is willing to love her as she is and provide the ongoing care and support she needs (which may include relatively inexpensive medication) Here's what Brinlee is looking for: 1️⃣ Quiet neighborhood with a fenced yard 🏡 2️⃣ Commitment to 2-3 short walks daily 🚶‍♂️ 3️⃣ Patience as she adapts to her new environment 🕰️ 4️⃣ Willingness to accommodate her needs, including the need to sometimes wearing diapers at night and access to pee pads. 5️⃣ Someone who's home more often than not and will continue with her training and schedule 🏠 Don’t be daunted by Brinlee’s needs, you will get an ending love and affection back in return. With a little extra love and care, Brinlee will thrive and become an integral part of your family. And watching her do her zoomies or cuddle with you in the couch is the ultimate reward. Brinlee is great with other dogs ( she prefers the smaller ones) and would be best in a cat free, small children free home (although she could certainly visit with small children). Brinlee is a shining example of resilience and determination. She proves every day that love knows no bounds and that with the right care and understanding, anything is possible. If you're prepared to embark on a journey filled with unconditional love and companionship, consider welcoming Brinlee into your life. Together, you'll discover the true meaning of acceptance and the profound bond between a dog and their family.you! ••••••••• As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Story
Introducing Elvis, the latest addition to our rescue! At 11 months old and 14lbs, this Schnauzer is recovering from his neuter and settling into his foster home. Elvis is seeking a patient and understanding family who can provide him with a calm, all-adult environment where he can thrive. Although he's cautious around new surroundings and people, Elvis has a sweet side waiting to blossom. He enjoys the company of other dogs and finds solace sitting beside trusted humans on the couch. He will need leash training as he does bark at other dogs and people on his walks. Elvis would benefit greatly from socialization classes as he does have stranger danger and will make himself heard in the home. His happy place is going for long walks in the forest near his foster home. A quiet neighbourhood would be ideal for him. ••••••••• As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Check back often for details!
