Story
Yo Ho! Yo Ho! This scruffy scoundrel is on his way to pillage and plunder yer heart! At seven years old, Pirate Pete (also known as Petey) has retired from a life on the sea, and he’s looking for a home where he can stash his treasure and rest his bum leg. That’s right–ol’ Petey has a ton of life experience with some salt and pepper fur to match. But don’t be deterred by his rugged looks! This rascal has tons of love to give and a very charming personality. He lives for attention and will put his paws up on your legs when he’s ready to be held. If you’re doing chores, he will patter along at your heels, wanting to be as close to you as possible. One thing to know about Petey is he will occasionally get grumpy if he is feeling ignored or if he wants a tasty bite. This cutie will grumble and growl, showing off his best pirate talk until he gets his way. Despite his occasional grouchiness, he loves people and should settle nicely into a quiet home. Petey would do best as a solo dog where he can get all the attention he deserves. He is pretty low effort and prefers cozying up in his bed over long walks. So, if you want a dog who will happily watch TV, take naps and snuggle the day away with you, Pirate Pete’s the matey for you! Apply now–or we’ll have ye walk the plank!

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Skye is 5 years old and 10 pounds of sweetness.  She is quiet and a cuddler who gets along with all of the dogs in the foster home.  She loves watching them play but she does not join in.  Skye likes to sunbath when the weather is nice. She likes to be carried and still getting use to walking on a leash, she does ride well in the car without getting car sick.  Skye has no aggression in any area and is treat motivated. She is 100% pure Schnauzer. Skye was found running down the street in San Antonio, TX in a not so pleasant area of town.  She was scanned for a microchip and she did not have one, she does now.  She was posted on multiple Lost & Found pages but no one came forward for her.  She was extremely matted as a result from being in the streets for so long and I groomed her and I am not a professional but focused on getting the mats off.  Her coat will grow back in pretty. Even though she was found on the streets and had been out there awhile, her house manners are excellent.  Completely house, crate and potty trained.  I leave her to roam freely in my home with my personal dogs while I am gone. If you would like to adopt Skye please submit an application on the website below.   www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         April 26, 2024, 10:28 am
