Her name is Bandit Queen, and she has already stolen your heart. You just don't know it yet. This girl is a velcro pup in the most committed sense of the word. She’s happiest when she's touching her person on the couch, content when she can at least see them, and a tad vocal about her feelings when neither of those things are happening. When she's cozy and close to her person, she’s the sweetest, quietest, most snuggly little thing. She twirls in excited circles and full-on talks at mealtime, which her foster describes as darling, and we are taking it at face value. She is only loud when she is not where she wants to be, and where she wants to be is next to you. Always. She's comfortable around other dogs, cats, kids, and car rides. She's learning to potty outside and is making progress, though she'll need a trip out every couple of hours for now and isn't quite at the point of asking to go herself. Bandit Queen needs a home where someone is around enough to be her person. In return, she will give you the best snuggles of your life and twirl for you at dinnertime every. single. day. To be fair, worse deals exist. -----  A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters: Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:  ✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.  ✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).  ✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.  The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.  Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.  Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.

Pooja acclimated to her foster home so quickly that her foster family almost didn't have time to notice it happening. One minute she was new, and then she was just...home. And that’s just kind of her vibe. She loves to snuggle and has a favorite little ball that she carries around like it's her most prized possession, which is beyond endearing. She's easy to read when she needs to go outside, and she can even sleep all night without an accident. Chini loves her toys, other dogs, kids…the list goes on. She’s even discovered that she also loves climbing things, so keep an eye on her in the pen, because she is an ambitious little girl and where there’s a will, she assures us, there’s a way. She's sweet, playful, and great at communicating when she needs to go outside (sniffs, circles, very reliable system). She can make it through the night without accidents and goes out to a fenced yard during the day. Her foster says she adjusted wonderfully to their home and would be a great addition to any family. Welcome Polly to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 6-pound Mini Schnauzer mixed with Chihuahua. She should be 15 pounds or less full grown. Her mom looks exactly like a high mixed schnauzer. Polly is very fluffy and while he likes being held. In fact, she is less active than her brother Teddy and cuddlier. She is crate trained, good with his sibling, good in a car and uses potty pads. She isn’t overly vocal and is the next most fluffy in the litter. She is not a shedder at all that we can see. Her coat is soft and if you groomed her in a schnauzer cut, would look like a mini black schnauzer. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older, due to his small size. Puppies are best with someone not working all day every day. She needs time with her human and time to finish up her puppy training. She is small enough and social, so he would be a good one to take places with you. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 600 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Welcome Ruby to CCPAL foster program. Ruby is a 4-year old Schnauzer/Yorkie dog. She weighs about 15 pounds. She was found on the streets of Texas roaming with another dog. She wasn’t thin or stressed so she may have been found right after she was dumped by the original owners. Ruby is potty trained, good with other dogs and friendly to people, even strangers. She has a longer coat and is not a big shedder. She would look more like a Schnauzer with the Schnauzer cut. She is loving, smart, cuddly and ready for her new forever home. She is getting her vaccinations topped up and will be spayed before adoption. She is good in a car and decent on a leash. She would be fine in a home with a smaller condo sized yard. She would only need a moderately active person. A walk would be enough exercise. She is relaxed, calm and beautiful. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older.
