Story
Meet Riyo! Oh my goodness, we love this little guy! Riyo came to us from a very neglectful situation. He was quite scared and apprehensive but has spent some time in our foster care and has come so far! Riyo is a Poodle mix, around between one and two years of age. He is very sweet and affectionate with people but it can take him a moment to trust you. There is no aggression in him whatsoever, just some hesitation with strangers. Give him a minute, offer him a tasty treat and he will be your friend forever. Riyo is learning the world is a kind place where he is safe.  Riyo loves walks, loves to play with toys and is potty trained. Crate training is a work in progress. He needs a home with a yard and must have another dog in the home that he can follow around. This kind of social facilitation is very important to him at this time.  Riyo has not lived with small children but we have seen him with kids over 8 and he does very well. He has not been exposed to cats.  Riyo is vaccinated, neutered and chipped. His adoption fee is $525 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Meet Ivy! Sweet Ivy came to us heavily pregnant and gave birth to 8 puppies only days after her arrival. She was an excellent mom to her pups. Now that they have all been adopted, it is Ivy's turn to find her forever home.  Ivy is a lovely 2 year old girl. She is medium in size, around 20 lbs. She is playful, energetic and no couch potato! She will love an active family who will walk her, play with her and take her on adventures. She is great with other dogs and lives in a foster home with 4 others. We do not know how she is with cats. Ivy is a friendly girl but needs a moment to warm up to visitors. She can be a little hand-shy at first but gets over that quickly. She has not been around young children so we recommend her for kids 8 and up.  Ivy is now vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Her adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport near one of the cities listed at the bottom. If not crated, prefers back seat if she has a choice. -Did great at day out at the park -Possibly housebroken, does not go potty in her kennel -Loves playing tug of war -Walks well on leash -Loves pup cups -Likes other dogs, can be possessive over toys Video of Sunshine from February 28th on day out: https://youtube.com/shorts/iBsPXIp1VVo?feature=share Sunshine is spayed, vaccinated (Rabies, DHLPPx3, Bordetella), has been dewormed, heartworm negative, and on monthly flea/tick/HW prevention.
