Story
Max is a cute little guy with a huge personality. He turned 3 years old November 30th, 2025 and weighed in around 14 lbs earlier this year. He is shy with strangers but is a love bug once he gets to know you. He is mostly house trained, but still has accidents. He gets along with other dogs in most situations. We havent really had him around children, but he has never offered to bite anyone. He is a small dog who loves his food and treats. He has lots of energy, and would do well with someone who is active and has time to take him on walks and give him the attention he needs. A fenced yard to play in would be great.

Story
Update: 11/04/25 Chopper would like to speak - I have been with 3 UYR Fosters now on my long road trip and all I keep hearing is that I am such a sweet little boy and it's easy to fall in love with me right away. Awww........I am very affectionate, love to be near my human and I like to cuddle with her when we sleep. I am a very good eater, which is a good thing, as I am much too skinny and they are trying to put some weight on me. I have gained a pound! Yippee! I get along well with the resident senior dog. My only little quirk is that I won't walk on the leash. If I could talk, I could tell you why, but foster Mom is just figuring it might be lack of experience. So she is slowly working with me to help me like doing that. I am going in this week for my neuter, dental and pedicure. Once I heal from that, I will be ready to rock n' roll my way to you. I know I am a senior, but I am a spunky little guy and if you welcome me into your home and heart, I promise I will love and cherish you for the rest of my life.

Story
Update: 11/04/25 Tyson has enjoyed a very happy and loving journey in the short time he was rescued from the shelter after his Mommy passed away and, sadly, no one wanted him. It's hard to imagine that someone wouldn't want this sweet and darling little man. He loves to be near his human, is very affectionate, gets along well with foster mom's resident senior dog, eats well, sleeps well and is housebroken. He does have a little incontinence during the night so he sleeps with a belly band - other than that - no accidents. He will let you know when he wants to go out and walks nicely on the leash. He didn't know how to do his business in the grass but because he is a smart boy and a fast learner, he is starting to go in the grass. He had even been afraid of the stairs and now prances up the stairs like a young dog! Tyson has been to the vet and has stage one kidney disease, so he will be going on a kidney diet. His blood work is pretty good, some highs and lows, but considering the neglect he has endured, he is doing quite well. Tyson needs a dental in a big way but vet is waiting until he is on the kidney diet for a couple of weeks, along with antibiotics and then will reassess. After his nasty, infected mouth is healed, it can also stabilize his blood levels. That's what we know for now and if you are wanting to give a mellow, calm and loving senior boy a good home, he promises to love and cherish you for the rest of his life. Will you be the one?
