Story
Dexter was picked up from a shelter and has been skittish from the beginning but has greatly improved. He is loving and if he knows you, and is comfortable, he will snuggle up close to you, but if he doesn’t he may find a place to hide, like behind the toilet bowl or in another room. When “left alone” he does have a tendency to get excited (zoomies, reminds me of like, “I’m Free”). My wife and I are seniors (in our seventies) with me being disabled, I spend a lot of time at the doctors office. Just recently we found out that he doesn’t like fireworks. He is crate trained and I hate that he has to be caged up so much and I would like to find him a better life.

Meet Your New Best Friend! 🐾 This sweet and energetic Yorkie is almost 2 years old and full of love and personality! He is mostly pad trained and happily goes outside to do his business, but he will need a patient owner to continue his training and help him shine. He’s up to date on all his vaccinations and enjoys life to the fullest. He loves going to daycare and even enjoys being boarded when his humans are out of town ;he thrives on social interaction and adventure! With his Meet Your New Best Friend, high-energy personality, he’d do best in a home with a yard where he can run and explore safely. He is curious and friendly, but he has not been around cats, so we are not sure how he’d react to feline friends yet. This little guy is looking for a forever home with someone patient and loving, who is ready to give him guidance, training, and endless affection. He is sure to bring joy, companionship, and tail wags to the lucky family who adopts him!
