Amber, spayed female, 3y-9m-old, 35-lbs If you would like to give AMBER a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application About Amber: Amber is a beautiful, adorable and affectionate young girl. She is aimed to please, she loves to be praised such as “beautiful princess” “good girl” and very food motivated, so is easy to train. She would follow foster mom around and keep her humans company as long as she’s felt needed; “an absolute sweet girl!” as quote by her foster mom. She is potty and crate trained; well behaved when inside the house, has no chewing or barking issues. She is close to human, not shy with strangers including kids, dogs and cats. She could be a bit wary around unfamiliar places, but able to adapt quickly with the help of yummy treats. Amber is loving by nature, she’ll be a great companion pet for any type of family, or family looking for sibling of the existing dog. Amber’s rescue story: Amber and her siblings were born to a stray mother. They lived under the highway overpass and kept alive by volunteer’s irregular feeding. At five months old, Amber and another sibling were adopted. But only after a short six months, Amber was returned due to her owner’s financial hardship. Because Amber’s previous home was in an isolated environment, she was a little skittish when exposed to bustling city life. But under the care of her foster family and regular walking on leash, her sensitivity to noise has shown great improvement. Story
Brick  is a 1 year old GSD/mountain cur dog mix that came to us as one of a pair of boys that were tied to a tree and abandoned at a high school in Burlingame.  Brick has graduated from an 8-week boarding and training program in San Jose at RFRD Academy.  He weighs 64lbs. He would do best in a home as a solo dog. He really enjoys being with his person and can be taken anywhere and loves to go on adventures and errands. Commands he knows are "sit", "place", "down", "come", "no", and "break". His ideal forever home will include a confident person who's interested in maintaining his training and one who is looking for a solid companion. He is at his best when he is with his human.  Since returning from boarding and training, he's been at his foster home with three other dogs. He is crate trained and food motivated. He enjoys going on walks, but more than anything he enjoys hanging out with his person.  It is unknown whether he is good with cats. He is house trained. He prefers a quiet environment over a loud ones. He is a dog that likes a slow introduction both with people and other dogs. ##1883630##

Story
Meet Clyde! This deaf sweetheart is looking for a compassionate and understanding forever home that will give him the unconditional love and acceptance he deserves. He's an incredibly loving and playful puppy who has great dog manners, and eagerly makes friends with dogs of all sizes. He needs a home with dog companions to stay happy and fulfilled, and would love to join your friendly and social pack. He's smart, eager to please, and sure to respond well to consistent positive reinforcement training. Clyde has been doing fabulously well in foster care, his foster mom tells us "He has been a super sweet house guest and has taught our middle-aged Vizsla to play. He has learned to sit and is on his way to learning to lie down. He doesn't like to be alone so it's pretty easy to get him to go places, come in from the yard etc. He loves to snuggle on the couch and the bed (usually sleeps using my legs as a pillow!). He did great at the Pet Food Express adoption Pop-Up events, he was great with all other dogs and wanted to meet them all. He is good on leash, especially when he has another dog to keep him moving. He much prefers to free range in our yard to do his business. He likes to chase shadows and can get stuck in a loop but it's easy to distract and redirect. This behavior happens much less if he gets a nice long walk that day". He can't wait to join a home that has done their deaf dog research and is excited to welcome him into their family!
