Story
Meet Tank 💛 Tank's journey hasn't been easy, but his heart is pure gold. This seven- to eight-year-old Black Mouth Cur/Shepherd mix was owner-surrendered at Animal Control and left behind just as his golden years were upon him. What kind of owner would ever do such a thing? He quickly became urgent, and luckily we were able to step in and save him in April of 2025, just in time. When he arrived, he was skin and bones—emaciated and exhausted—but with love and care, he’s been gaining weight and blossoming. Now, he’s finally ready for a forever family who will love him the way he’s always deserved. Tank is the definition of a gentle soul. He’s dog-friendly with all sizes, kid-friendly, and simply wants to be near his people. He spends most of his days lounging around happily, but every now and then he’ll surprise you with a playful burst of energy, especially when he gets to romp with his doggy friends. He’s crate-trained, housebroken, and such an easy, loving companion. Like many seniors, Tank has a few quirks. He’s terrified of storms and will need comfort and reassurance during them—he’d much prefer snuggling up close to his person when thunder rolls. He’s also a bit of an escape artist with no street smarts, so a secure fenced yard is a must. Don’t let his calm demeanor fool you—he’s strong, so he’ll do best with someone steady on their feet. Despite the hard times he’s lived through, Tank is still so full of love and hope. He just wants a soft bed, gentle hands, and a family to call his own for the rest of his days. 📍 Located in Cleveland, TN 🚐 Transport available 💲 Adoption fee: 5️⃣0️⃣ Could you be the one to give Tank the safe, loving forever home he’s been waiting for? 💛

Wilder is one of the most lovable boys; he has been at the shelter since he was a pup of 3 months old. He doesn’t get much interest and we have no clue why. He's beautiful and so sweet. Story
Hi, my name is Quest I’ve been at the shelter since I was 3months old. Although, I get lots of love from the volunteers I would love to find a home before Christmas. I spent my first Christmas at the shelter. I would love to be adopted and have a family. I’m good with other dogs and seem to even be okay with cats. I’m pretty good on a leash. I’m nervous about car rides but doing much better. I’m not completely housebroken but I’ve been doing my best. I am a very sweet and loving girl who’s ready to find her forever home. I would do best with older children in the home or even a playmate! Story
Hi there! I found this sweet baby on the side of the road. A local to the area told me he was dumped by his family (possibly thrown from their vehicle). He waited there for two weeks tucked back in the woods. The man told me no one was able to get close to him so I spent time gaining his trust til o was able to grab him. Here’s what I know: Likely 5 ish months old 35-45 lbs. likely won’t grow more due to his age. Super sweet, submissive and curious…he wanted love so bad but was scared. He seems great with dogs, and honestly due to his sweet nature, I believe he’d be good with other animals and kids too. If o wasn’t a renter with two dogs already I’d adopt him because I fell in love. He would make anyone very happy. He’s at Whitfield county animal shelter. Please help me save this boys life, we don’t have much time. Thank you!
