Story
Abby is a female plott hound/mountain cur mix, around 7 years old. She still has a lot of energy and is very sweet. Her owner has failing health so she had to come to the shelter. She has had some training and knows a few commands. She would need to be tested with any potential canine siblings and she is not good with cats. She weighs around 75 pounds. She is spayed, up to date on shots, tested negative for heartworms, Lyme disease, e.canis and anaplasmosis, and is microchipped. Adoption fee is sponsored. If interested, apply at www.humanesocietyofmartincounty.org. Our shelter does adoptions by appointment only. An adoption application is required first.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Brianna (Brianna7crum@gmail.com) for more information about this pet. Online Adoption Application › Canis and his littermates were born into the shelter environment and came into their foster home at 2 months. Canis and his brothers are 6 months now (DOB 9/17) and still in search of their forever families.  Canis' mom was a medium sized Husky and his father is a complete mystery, though we do suspect he was possibly a mountain curr / lab mix. They are expected to be medium sized fully grown. Canis has finished all round of his puppy vaccines. He is microchipped, neutered, and current on preventatives. Canis is working on crate and potty training he is a sweet and happy boy who can't wait to make your family complete. Canis would do best in a home with female dogs or no dogs (no male dogs). He gets very excited around cats.Visit care.rescuegroups.org to view his whole profile and fill out an application. Adoptions are processed electronically using card payment only. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 14, 2024, 12:09 am

Story
Beast must have a home with a fenced in yard. Beast is very shy. Multiple meet and greets with any potiental adopter is required to make sure they are comfortable. Once he gets to know you he will always want your attention and will always want ot be at your side. He doesn't really like to be touched, but once he gets to fully know you he will eventually let you pet him. He is very sweet and loves treats. No young children under the age 10 in the household. Does not seem to mind cats but I would keep a close eye just in case. Adoption fees include mcirochip, spay/neuter, and all vaccines. Flea and tick preventative are up to date for a month.  ##1670552##

Story
Aspen is a sweet intelligent guy with some allergies that are controlled simply by diet. Aspen was adopted in 12/17 and returned 3/19 for a behavior change. Once back with us I reviewed all of his veterinary records from while he was in the home, the reasons he was seen and the multitude of times the family had boarded him in the short period he was with them. That explained a lot to me about this "behavior change". We put him on a special diet for allergies and have provided a stable environment for him, Aspen has been nothing but wonderful here just as he was in his foster home prior to the adoption in 12/17. He's a great dog, comical, loves to play, loves water and needs a "forever" home with out children, female canine companion only. We require   that you have a fenced in yard, not a "kennel" in the yard AND we do not approve underground fencing. Depending upon the dog some exceptions are made for those who live in apartments.   We also require that the adoptee will be a part of the family "living" within the home. Our adoption process may be found on our website at www.bitofheaven.org Visits are scheduled by appointment only via emailing request to ownedbycaninesandlovit@yahoo.com   May 13, 2024, 12:05 am
