Puppies there are often born into neglect — chainedup mother dogs, dirt yards, no food, no vet care, and no one looking out for them. Many are dumped, abandoned, or left outside in dangerous conditions. This puppy came from that reality. Now safe in rescue, they’re finally experiencing what every puppy deserves: care, stability, and the chance to grow up loved. Houdini wants to peface this by saying he's a good boy, he promises! Houdini came to us after recently being in fight or flight mode - he chose flight - for over a month. This boy was ducking and dodging anyone trying to catch him. Houdini will need someone who understands his anxiety in new environments. He will thrive in a home that is patient and understanding. He takes a while to warm up to new humans, but loves every dog he comes in contact with. He is blossoming in doggie playgroups, and warming up to his foster humans daily. His goofy and sweet personality is shining through his scary past. Houdini will need a securely fenced yard to play in and must be on a well-fitting harness or slip lead while out in public - remember, he didn't get his name from being a stunt man! Houdini does well with other dogs but has not been cat tested.
