Story
Brook is a 9 month old female hound mix. She is great with other dogs and walks well on a leash. She is fixed and ready to find her forever home!   Stray Haven in an effort to help with the overcapacity of one of their partnering rescues, is crossposting the adoptable pets. Ripley County Humane Society is a beautiful non kill campus, comprised of three buildings on 13 sprawling acres in Osgood Indiana. Due to the remote location, they don't show up in the searches commonly made by adopters because they are just outside for the 30 mile radius of Cincinnati OH, Indianapolis IN and Louisville KY. Please take a look at these beautiful babies and fill out an application at the link below OR drop by their physical location which is open every single day from 12-330 for visitors.   If you would like to meet any of our pets, they are available for viewing, every single day from noon until 3:30pm. If you have other dogs a meet and greet is required. Calling before a long drive is recommended to confirm availability. Ripley County Humane Society, 1202 W County Rd 150 N, Osgood, IN 47037. 812-689-3773  You can fill out an application online at this link - https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/57789/generic . ##2757115##

Story
Hi, I'm Chico, and I'd like to file a formal complaint. As a Mountain Cur mix, I have a LOT of energy. Running, exploring, sniffing, investigating suspicious squirrels—these are all very important parts of my job description. So imagine my surprise when I was informed that because I'm heartworm positive, I have to "take it easy" while I recover. Take. It. Easy. Apparently, zooming around like a maniac is now "not recommended." According to the humans, heartworm disease is treatable, but until then, I need to stay calm. I disagree with this decision, but unfortunately, nobody asked me. The good news is that I'm available through a Pathway to Adoption or Foster-to-Adopt program while I complete treatment. I'm sweet, goofy, and always excited to see my people. One other rule I've been told to mention: I MUST wear a harness. Allegedly, my enthusiasm sometimes exceeds my judgment. I have no comment on these accusations. If you're looking for a fun-loving sidekick who's temporarily grounded by his doctor, come meet me. I'll be the one dramatically staring out the window, dreaming of zoomies. Dogs: Unknown — a meet & greet is recommended Cats: Unknown Kids: 10+ REQ
