Story
Hello! I'm Grizzly and I'm the total package. I'm a 1 year old mountain cur mix of pure joy wrapped in soft fur and powered by snacks, zoomies and curiosity. I had a little bit of a rough start as I was found as a stray and the world was a terrifying place initially but through continued work in a foster home on socialization and learning what love and pets are, my goofy personality has really blossomed and I've come leaps and bounds. I still often have some moments of cautious exploration when meeting new people or picking up on the vibe of a new environment, but give me time to sniff around and settle in and you won't find a sweeter, more excited, or happier boy than me. Once I'm comfortable, I'm not some chill couch potato - I'm more of a live, laugh, leap into a mud puddle kind of guy. I'm the ultimate "lets go do something" dog and have recently learned I love car rides and walks. My current foster family has another dog who I adore playing and running around the backyard with however I have not yet had the opportunity to meet any kitty friends. I've also been fantastic with kids of all ages and am potty trained. Grizzly is the kind of dog who makes life better just by being in it. He's smart, social, snuggly and just the right amount of silly. And he's looking for his people - the ones who'll give him a life full of adventure, treats and unconditional love. If you're looking for a new best friend who will have you laughing and will greet you with a smile, tail wags and excitement that shakes his whole body when you arrive home after a long day at work (or honestly even if you only went outside to move the trash can to the end of the driveway), Grizzly is your boy.Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! If not, stop by the shelter at 1048 S 325 E in Pierceton, IN 46562 to look at me! No appointments necessary!

Story
Weight: 56Lbs Meet Bala 🐾 Bala is a plott hound mix with long legs, big feelings, and a heart that says “I want to be your best friend” even when his feet say “I’m not sure yet, hang on.” He can be a little skittish at first — sudden noises, new places, or unexpected vibes might earn you a cautious side-eye — but give him a minute and his true personality starts to shine. Deep down, Bala REALLY wants to play. Like, desperately. Toys are exciting, zoomies are a strong possibility, and once he realizes you’re fun (and not secretly a vacuum cleaner), he’s all in. And treats? Oh yes, he’s interested… but only the good ones. If it doesn’t smell at least a little questionable, Bala will politely decline and wait for something with real character. A refined palate, honestly. Bala is a sweet, sensitive soul who’s just looking for someone patient enough to let him warm up — and fun enough to toss a toy once he does. Earn his trust (and bring the stinky snacks), and you’ll discover a playful, goofy, very good boy who’s ready to be your adventure buddy. Bonus points if you don’t judge his treat standards. He knows what he likes. 😌🐶 Dogs: Unknown, we always recommend bringing all pups in to meet! Cats: Unknown Kids: 10+
