Story
If you’ve ever wished for a quiet companion who simply wants to be near you, Becca is already volunteering. This reserved, elegant girl has soft brindle fur, soulful bedroom eyes, and a gentle presence that feels calming just to be around. Becca doesn’t demand the spotlight — she prefers to stay close, observing, loving, and quietly bonding with her person. She plays well with other dogs but can become overwhelmed in high-energy environments. While she enjoys companionship, she thrives in calmer settings where she doesn’t have to compete for attention. Her long, graceful tail and delicate features even hint that there may be a bit of greyhound in her background — though she’s officially a mystery mix. Becca weighed 17 pounds at 4 months old and is expected to grow into a lovely medium-sized companion. She’s currently working on housebreaking and leash training and responds well to gentle guidance. Becca isn’t looking for chaos. She’s looking for connection. 🏡 The Ideal Furever Home Becca would thrive in a calm household without small children, where she can feel secure and not overwhelmed. She would do beautifully with a patient adopter who appreciates a sensitive, observant dog and is willing to give her time to fully blossom. A quieter home environment, steady routine, and gentle reassurance will help her shine. She could live with another calm dog, but high-energy homes may be too much for her tender temperament. Her perfect furever home? One where she can be your shadow — and your steady heart. 🐾 The Becca Breakdown Energy Level: Calm & Gentle Dog Compatibility: Plays well but prefers low-key dogs Kid Compatibility: Best in a home without small children Cat Compatibility: Not tested Housetraining: In progress Leash Training: In progress Favorite Hobby: Being close to her person Signature Feature: Soft brindle coat + long elegant tail Overall Vibe: Quiet, loyal shadow Three Must-Knows About Becca She is gentle, reserved, and deeply bonded to her person. She needs a calm home where she won’t feel overwhelmed. She’s still learning the basics, but responds beautifully to patient guidance. Becca is a female Mountain Cur/mix pup who was was born approximately 12-4-25. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed and started on heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $500 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. Story
If you’ve ever thought, “I just want an easy dog,” Bonnie would like to submit her résumé. Medium-sized, beautifully mannered, and refreshingly chill, Bonnie is officially done with her kennel-era storyline and ready for her soft-launch into forever home life. She doesn’t need chaos. She doesn’t need constant stimulation. She just wants to see what you’re doing — and quietly join you. Going to the kitchen? She’ll supervise. Folding laundry? She’ll monitor. Watching TV? She’ll settle nearby like a warm, steady presence. Bonnie is a no-drama companion. She keeps herself occupied with toys and bones, walks politely on leash, and has impeccable house manners. She’s fully potty trained, kennel trained, and incredibly easy to live with. Outside is her happy place — nose down, tail wagging, taking in the world one scent at a time. While a fenced yard isn’t required, it would absolutely make her day. She’s not flashy. She’s not chaotic. She’s steady, loyal, and deeply content just being someone’s dog. The Bonnie Breakdown Energy Level: Chill with a side of curious explorer Leash Skills: Walks like a lady Housetrained: Yes Kennel Trained: Yes Favorite Hobby: Following her human from room to room Special Skill: Entertaining herself while you work Overall Vibe: Easy. Steady. Loyal. The Ideal Forever Home Bonnie would truly thrive as the only dog in the home. While she can be selective with canine friends, she doesn’t need other dogs to feel fulfilled — her person is more than enough. She’s looking for a home where she can bond deeply, settle into routine, and be someone’s quiet, constant companion. A Quick Health Note Bonnie has undergone heartworm treatment and will need to stay on lifelong prevention — something all dogs should be on anyway. She’s otherwise a happy, easygoing girl, and she’s handling everything like the resilient queen she is. Her future is bright, and she’s ready for it. Three Things You Must Know About Bonnie: She is fully housetrained and kennel trained with excellent indoor manners. She’d shine brightest as your one-and-only, bonding deeply with her person. She loves outdoor exploring and would enjoy a fenced yard. Bonnie is a female Plott Hound/Mountain Cur mix (our best guess of breeds) who was was born approximately 8-22-20 and weighs 52 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, provided life-saving heartworm treatment, and will need to be kept on heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $300 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. Story
Kijani Plott hound mix Spayed female 5 years old, 60 pounds   Kijani’s gorgeous coat and infectious grin give you an exterior glimpse of what lies within this sweetie. Her owner has given her years of love and good care, but knows her spirited nature now calls for a home with someone who can keep pace.   Daily leash walks have halted due to the owner’s mobility, but Kijani still enjoys ample yard time each day and handles being left alone up to five hours during the school year. In a new home, she’d welcome resuming regular outings to satisfy those hound-dog instincts.   Bright and eager to learn, Kijani knows “sit,” “stay,” and “shake,” and she’ll even fetch slippers on command. She’s house-trained and crate-accustomed (though she now roams freely indoors).   Kijani does startle with loud noises like vacuums or lawn mowers—so a few precautions before beginning noisy chores sure help. She does best on a salmon-based food to keep her digestion on track.   She’s a regular playmate at doggie daycare and adores her owner’s 14 grandchildren. Her reaction to cats isn’t known, so intros should be handled appropriately. Microchipped for extra security, she’s ready to explore new worlds with the right applicant. And we do allow people to foster her prior to adoption to ensure the perfect fit.   Application to foster or adopt available at nebraskanokill.org Suggested adoption donation: $300.00  August 30, 2025, 7:41 pm

Story
Lizzie recently joined the Max Raven Animal Rescue family and at just 9 weeks old, she is already pretty much potty trained! She whines to go outside and handles her business like a pro. For a baby, her manners are truly remarkable. She has settled in like she’s been here forever. While she prefers hanging out with the whole crew during the day, she’s been sleeping in bed with the pack at night like one of the big girls. Lizzie is a Catahoula Leopard Dog/Australian Shepherd mix — playful, bright, and incredibly intuitive. She knows when it’s time to zoom… and when it’s time to wind down and snuggle. And she is a solid 10/10 snuggler. She LOVES being right next to her person. Being just a baby, she may cry a little when her human isn’t beside her — she just wants to love and be loved. When she’s recharged, she runs and plays beautifully with her bigger foster sisters. She would thrive in a home with another confident canine to help teach her the “big girl ropes.” She corrects well and is going to grow into such a balanced companion. And let’s add this to her resume… she is doing GREAT with leash training! For 9 weeks old, she’s already learning how to walk politely and is picking it up quickly. Our Dream for Lizzie • A family with children — she has been around a toddler who hugs and loves on her, and she is incredibly sweet and receptive. • A home with another dog to play with and learn from. • A devoted person who wants a loyal sidekick for life. We estimate she may be around 60 pounds full grown (those paws are definitely saying “I’m going to be a big girl!”). She is vetted and ready to go! She is just too young for her rabies vaccine, so iwhen adopted soon, it will be the adopter’s responsibility to complete that. Are YOU the perfect family for this once-in-a-lifetime sweetheart?
