Story
Lionel is a handsome 1-year-old, 50-pound mixed-breed boy who’s ready to find his forever family! This beautiful pup has long legs, a slender build, and striking good looks—but his foster family will tell you that pictures simply don’t do him justice. When Lionel first came into foster care, he was a shy and nervous young dog, but he has made incredible progress and continues to gain confidence every day. With patience, encouragement, and a loving environment, he’s truly beginning to come out of his shell. He’s doing great with leash walking and is learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all.Lionel is potty trained, has a gentle and loving heart, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, who help boost his confidence. He’s also fantastic with cats and doesn’t bother them at all, making him an excellent addition to a multi-pet home. Lionel is good with kids as well and enjoys being part of a family. He absolutely loves to play and cuddle with other dogs.Because he’s still building confidence, Lionel would thrive with an adopter who understands that some dogs need a little extra time and reassurance to blossom. A securely fenced yard would be ideal for him as he continues to grow and gain confidence. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion and are willing to give this deserving boy the love and guidance he needs, Lionel may be the perfect match for you! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter.
