Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Nix, an irresistibly cute puppy with the most adorable, cartoon-like ears and a big personality to match! Nix is currently in a board-and-train program in New Jersey, where he’s been doing wonderfully and learning important skills to set him up for success. Nix is a friendly, playful boy with lots of energy, so he’ll thrive in an active home that enjoys walks, playtime, and continued training. He absolutely loves people, enjoys playing, and does well with kids ages 10 and up. This smart pup is already house trained, sleeps soundly in his crate through the night, and knows sit, paw, down, leave it, drop it, and come—and he’s currently working on stay. He’s also impressively calm on car rides, making him a great adventure buddy. We are looking for a foster or forever adopter who is committed to continuing Nix’s training, helping him build on the great foundation he’s already started. With the right home, Nix is going to grow into an amazing companion. Could you be the one to give this sweet, silly boy the loving home he deserves? Nix is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. His legs are very slightly bowed but we are hoping this improves with good nutrition. Nix has been neutered and has a microchip. His adoption fee is $550.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home. How to Adopt Me! If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to wag-on-inn.com. To apply, click HERE or on our website, go to Adoptable Pets and Adoption Application. A Wag On Inn volunteer will be in touch soon! Staff from a high kill shelter reached out to us for help. Marz is one of several dogs we were able to help escape from being euthanized due to overcrowding. Marz is a sweet girl who loves to be by your side. She is good with other dogs. We do not know what she thinks about cats. She has had a dental cleaning done during her spay so she is all set to go to her forever home. Marz is about 5 years old and 25 pounds. Please help Marz find the loving family she deserves. We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sweet Alyssa is ready to begin her next chapter! This beautiful girl headed north and arrived in her New Jersey foster home on 1/10, where she has already started to blossom. At just about 40–42 pounds and around 1 year old, Alyssa is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart. Life in the shelter was overwhelming for Alyssa. Loud noises and constant activity left her shy, scared, and unsure — but behind her soft eyes is a trusting, loving soul who truly wants to connect. With each passing day in foster care, Alyssa is gaining confidence: she happily takes treats, leans in for gentle pets, and is learning that people can be kind. Alyssa is especially comforted by other dogs and does wonderfully with canine companions. Once she feels safe, she loves to cuddle on the couch and be part of the family. She’s not a dog who needs a yard or a fence — just a calm, patient home where she can continue to grow at her own pace. Alyssa at a glance: About 1 year old, ~40–42 lbs Spayed Housebroken & crate trained Walks beautifully on a leash Loves other dogs and gains confidence from them Best in a home without small children, as sudden noises and movements can frighten her Shy at first, but incredibly loving once she feels safe The ideal family for Alyssa will be patient, kind, and understanding — ready to show her that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. In return, Alyssa will reward you with quiet companionship, gentle affection, and a bond that grows deeper every day. If you’re looking for a truly special girl who just needs a second chance to shine, Alyssa may be the one you’ve been waiting for.  Alyssa is fixed and up to date on shots. Her  adoption fee is $450.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to wag-on-inn.com. Meet Glynn Female | Small size | Puerto Rico → NJ Glynn is one of five miracle puppies rescued from a roadside feeding route after being cruelly abandoned. She survived hunger, fear, and even parvovirus — a battle many puppies don’t win — and came through it stronger and gentler than ever. Glynn is a sweet, sensitive soul. She can be a little shy at first, especially in new environments, but once she feels safe, her personality begins to shine. She enjoys human affection, does well with other dogs, and is learning how to walk confidently on a leash. With patience and encouragement, Glynn will absolutely blossom. She is expected to remain small in size (8 months old and 25 pounds), is spayed, and has been carefully cared for throughout her recovery. Glynn would thrive in a calm, loving home that understands she’s been through a lot — and is ready to show her what forever really means. Glynn is proof that even the most fragile beginnings can lead to beautiful futures. From Glynn's foster: "Meet Glynn! This beautiful princess is super sweet and definitely a cuddle bug. Glynn is gentle and calm. Loves ear scratches and will let you know if she isn’t ready for you to stop! :) Great with other dogs and kids.  It does take her a little to warm up and feel comfortable but once she’s there, she is full of love. She loves to run around and play in the snow. She is potty trained and crate trained. Meet Gus, Male | Small size | Puerto Rico → NJ Gus is one of five miracle puppies rescued from a roadside feeding route after being cruelly abandoned. He is currently 25 pounds and will remain small.  A little about Gus from his foster:  " Gus is an adorable 8 month old pup is full of potential and eager to learn! He is pretty close to being potty trained, and working on mastering the use of bells on the door to signal when he needs to go out, proof of how smart and trainable he is.  He will sit, and loves treats, and loves learning new things. His foster home has kids and he loves them, showing a gentle, playful nature. He also lives with cats, and is interested in learning exactly what they are. He truly seems to want to play and figure out cats and has show no aggression to them at all.   he enjoys playing with the other dog in the house, loves running outdoors and has grown to love playing in the snow.  When it’s time to relax he’s a total snuggle but, who enjoys laying by the heater and fireplace, and soaking up all the attention."
