Story
Archie is one of those dogs that’s not popular. He’s not a popular breed/mix and no one has asked about him at all. He’s been there longer than any other dog at the shelter now, but we love him and believe in him! He’s not trained because he’s never had a home that cared enough to teach him anything. His puppyhood was probably stolen from him because he had to fend for himself. When he came into the shelter (as a stray on 8/22/25) he was in pitiful shape. Cuts, scrapes, wounds and areas of missing hair was all over his body. He was underweight. He was timid and didn't know what to do with toys. Now he’s finally getting some love and attention and doesn’t know what to do with it! He LOVES toys and his fur is now nice and soft. He's rambunctious and happy, young believed to be around a year old. He gets overexcited when he knows he’s going out of the shelter for a walk, but we can guarantee you this, he is sweet and friendly! He has gotten along with every dog he's met through the kennel and loves to give his "girlfriends" kisses. It’s dogs like Archie, an underdog, that can end up being one of the most loyal and loving dogs that anyone could ever want. Someone just has to love him enough and have the patience to teach him about life with humans. Take him home, bond with him, once he trusts you and feels at home, slowly start some training with him and make it fun. He loves treats and he love toys so that makes training a little easier!
