Story
Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyvz97pzs6Q Moonlight is a beautiful young girl who appears to be a cur and heeler mix. She is about a year old and loves everyone she meets. She is great with dogs of all sizes and with cats. She loves water and running around the woods and just loves life. She would make a great adventure buddy for an individual or couple. She does well in a crate and on a leash. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue/reviews (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) Vetting: spayed, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative) Adoption fee: $550 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma and all vetting listed above) Adoption application (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 FAQs (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://docs.google.com/document/d/12eb_SRtk1AzaBl87UltcLJ24MjH9UhQm_LE77iWZEQA/edit?tab=t.0 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

Story
Twister is a beautiful, friendly girl who has been through more than most—and come out the other side as a happy, social dog ready for her forever home. She’s great with dogs of all sizes, enjoys group walks, and is also good with cats. She’s the kind of dog who easily becomes your companion and fits into daily life. Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/6FPwMardAfI Twister came into a high-intake shelter pregnant, and the stress caused her to lose her puppies. Once she was safe, she quickly showed her true personality—affectionate, easygoing, and eager to connect. She thrives in a social environment and would do well in a home with other pets or regular activity. Good fit: someone looking for a friendly, social dog who enjoys companionship and being part of everyday life. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back. Location: Oklahoma (available to approved out-of-state adopters via transport) Health: Fully vetted (spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested) Adoption fee: $450 (includes transport + vetting) Bonus: Each adoption includes a 30-minute phone consultation with a professional trainer Transport routes: WA, OR, ID, MT, UT, WY, CO, MN, WI, IA, IL, IN, OH, PA, MD, NY, NJ, VT Think you might be a good fit? Story
Hi, I’m Dana! I’m a 4-month-old, 18 lb. male Catahoula Leopard Dog mix, and I may be young, but I already have quite the story to tell. Not long ago, my siblings and I were sitting in a shelter in California with only 24 hours left to live. We were scheduled to be euthanized, but thankfully, The Asher House heard about us and stepped in just in time. We were saved, brought to safety, and given the chance at a future we almost didn’t have. But our fight wasn’t over yet. After arriving, every single puppy in my group became sick with parvo. We were incredibly ill and needed to be hospitalized so we could receive the intensive medical care we needed. It was a scary start to our new lives, but we were surrounded by people who fought right alongside us and made sure we had every opportunity to get better. And we did! I’m now fully recovered, feeling so much better, and finally getting to enjoy what being a puppy is supposed to be all about—playing, exploring, making friends, and soaking up all the love and attention I can get! I’m dog, cat, and kid friendly, and at only 4 months old, I have so much growing and learning ahead of me. I’ll need a family who is ready to continue teaching me all the important puppy basics, like potty training, leash walking, socialization, and good manners. I came so close to never getting the opportunity to grow up. Now I have my whole life ahead of me, and I’m ready to make every moment count. All I need now is a forever family to share it with. My adoption fee is $495 and I've had my age-appropriate vaccines and I'm microchipped. Apply to meet me today!
