Wiggins is approximately 1 year old, 45 lbs, and a German shorthair pointer mix. He is kennel trained, potty trained, and working on basic manners. Wiggins is a very well behaved guy. He is not high energy, but has moderate energy. He has been observed super dog friendly! He has a rougher play style but loves his doggie friends. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge for transport. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.

Story
Fitz is being fostered in Bend, Oregon through Street Savvy Dog Rescue ! 💜💜😄😄😄💜💜🥰🥰🥰💜💜✌️✌️🐕🐕🥰🥰🐕🥰🥰❤️🐕🐕✌️✌️💜✌️✌️🌈🌈😄😄😄🌈🌈🌈🌈 Fitz is a 6 monthsl old Pointer mix, weighing about 35 pounds. He was originally found on Mt Fitz Roy in Patagonia, made his next journey to a foster in Mexico and then was flown to Portland where he went immediately into foster care. He takes some time to warm up to new people, but once he does he is such a lover. He feels more comfortable towards women but has never shown any sign of aggression towards men, kids, or any other animals (including cats), he is just timid and gets a little nervous sometimes. He has never once had an accident in the house. He is smart and intuitive and picks up on things fast. He is very well trained (knows sit, working on lay down, touch, etc) and he is a people pleaser. He is very observant and just enjoys being around people. He is great in the car, a little nervous getting in and out but making significant progress and is becoming more familiar. He has been camping and to the beach with his foster mama and while shy and a little unsure about the water/other dogs approaching him, he enjoyed the sand and dipping his toes in the ocean (all on his own!). He is getting more and more familiar with a leash and enjoys going on walks. He is not super high energy but enjoys going outside and sniffing around and walking with his people/other dogs. Fitz would thrive in an environment around other dogs who enjoy playing. He has other dogs in the house to play with and he can go all day long. He learns very well from other dogs and while he is nervous of new dogs while he is out and about, once he makes a new friend, they become the best of friends. Having another dog to play with him would be significantly important. He would also do best with a fenced in yard. Fitz is not a dog who will just run off. Even when other dogs approach him or are running around near where he is, he stays close by and does not like to leave your side. Although he is a little independent, he will still be your shadow and likes to be in whatever room you may be in. Fitz is scheduled to be neutered in Sept. For more information on Fitz or to apply please visit us at streetsavvydogrescue.org 💜🥰🐕🌈✌️🐕🌈💜❤️✌️🐕🌈💜❤️✌️🐕🌈💜❤️🐕✌️🌈💜❤️🥰✌️🐕🌈💜❤️✌️🐕🌈💜❤️🌈🐕✌️
