River Leigh: Ready for a Calm, Loving New Beginning This lovely two-year-old Mountain Cur/American Bulldog mix came to us with a difficult history, but River Leigh is an incredibly forgiving and wonderful dog making strides every day! She needs a calm, understanding environment to feel secure, which is why she is best suited for a home with older, quieter children. River Leigh is a great socializer—she has no food aggression and is good with most other dogs. She has been fully vetted and microchipped, and now, thanks to a local sponsor, her adoption fee has been covered! Open your heart to this deserving girl and give her the chance at a wonderful future. Apply for River Leigh at Marc4change.org!

COURTESY LISTINGBrandy is a courtesy listing, not in the AARF foster program, and we are posting online to help the owner find a home for them. Please visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-app/ to apply. Brandy is a wonderful pup at 40lbs, Mountain Cur mix, at about 5-6 years old. She has a sweet, affectionate nature and a calm, laid-back personality that makes her an easy companion to have around. She loves people of all ages, including children, and enjoys being part of the family. She has done well with other dogs overall, but because she can be protective of food and treats around them, she would likely be happiest as the only dog in the home. That way, she can relax, feel secure, and soak up all the love and attention she deserves. This sweet girl would make an amazing companion for someone looking to give an adult dog another chance. She has so much love to give and deserves a family who will love her just as much in return. She is spayed, up to date and has her most recent shot records.  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. July 21, 2026, 10:33 pm

Story
Currently located in: Berlin, NH Adoptable in: All continental 48 United States (transport is available anywhere!) Good with dog: She would prefer to be the only dog in a calm home. Good with cats: She could possibly do well with a calm dog savvy cat. Good with kids: Yes, she should do fine with older respectful kids. Littles who are unpredictable and loud would be too much stress for this sweet girl. House trained: Yes! Meet Bella! Bella is a Senior Girl Looking for Her Safe Place. At 10 years old, Bella is a sweet girl should already be living her golden years in comfort and love… but instead, she’s waiting. Bella has seen more than any dog ever should. The kind of past that leaves quiet marks — the kind you don’t always see, but you feel in the way she looks to you for reassurance, in the way she just wants to be close and finally feel safe. Because of everything she’s been through, she needs a home where she can be the only love in your life. A calm, understanding environment. A person with a huge heart and endless patience — someone who won’t give up on her, someone who will show her that her story doesn’t end the way this past chapter began. She loves to lay in the sun, soaking up warmth like she’s been waiting her whole life for it. She loves those peaceful, quiet moments and every so often, she gets these beautiful little bursts of energy — playful, joyful glimpses of the dog she was always meant to be. She doesn’t need perfection. She just needs kindness. Consistency. Love. A soft place to land. A home to call her own. Please consider opening your heart to a senior who deserves so much more than what life has given her the last few months. Or share her story — because her person is still out there. 🐾 Let’s find her the home she deserves in her senior years. If you think you are the right match for Bella, please apply to adopt here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1doqwbKyo7ZFi9Wq2ss-et4DLqM7esQfvEUdXVZBnA98/viewform?edit_requested=true&pli=1 Our adoption fee is $550, this includes vetting, transport (we typically can get within 1-2 hours of most places) and our animals all go home with an adoption bag to help them transition to their new home! We will NEVER ask or accept funds until your pets are in your hands. Please beware of scams! All of our animals are fully vetted before going to their fur-ever homes. They are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, dewormed, up to date on flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and microchipped! Please Note: All animals are posted until they are officially adopted. This animal may have other interested adopters in line. We are very quick to respond and process applications! You will be required to provide 2 non-family personal references, a home video tour, and a vet reference if you’ve previously had animals. Please feel free to send a video to our email or Facebook upon submitting an application; this lets us know you are serious and ready but also helps us to get you approved quickly. We will text and or call upon receiving your application to schedule a phone interview. You must be an approved adopter to go on meet and greets. This saves everyone’s time- especially our gracious foster families! This also allows for you to take the animals home from the meet and greet if you so choose. Interested in fostering? We would love to have you join our family! Fill out the same application above- we have our fosters go through the same process as adopters! Questions? Story
Meet Ikota, an 12-week-old maybe a Basenji/Mountain Cur mix, weighing approx. 20-25 pounds. This beauty was found as a stray but now she is thriving as a spunky little girl and has her foster older brothers wrapped around her paw. Ikota is so adorable, she's sure to win first place in every dog beauty pageant there is, so sign her up now! When she's not stealing hearts with her friendly demeanor, Ikota loves to play with her senior foster brother’s toys (to his dismay), but he is tolerant of her behavior because Ikota is so sweet and the perfect little sister. Ikota enjoys cuddling up when she's relaxing and is the perfect couch companion for when you're watching TV. She hasn't met cats yet nor does she have experience with children, but we believe Ikota would be amazing with kiddos because of her friendly and playful attitude. Soon, Ikota will be teaching a class on crates, leashes, and potty training because she's mastered all three. With loving direction from her people, Ikota is going to be a wonderful, loving, and loyal companion. Get ready for loads of fun and love. Bring this sweetie home now! If you are intereseted in learning more about Ikota please fill out the adoption application found on our MARC website www.marc4change.org Ikota's adoption fee is $275.00
