Weatherford, TX
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
She was a stray that just ran up to our porch one afternoon. She is beautiful and fiercely loyal even though she had just met us. She sleeps on the floor right next to me in bed, even if the only thing she has to sleep on is the shirt I threw on the floor before bed (We have several dog beds laying around the room). When any of us are in the shower, she lays down on the floor right outside shower. Somebody trained her. Sit, Laydown, Shake, even "Go somewhere else," and she will leave the room. She obediently fetches and returns. Someone trained this dog. Maybe to hunt or something. She CANNOT SWIM however, at least in our pool. But, she loves to RUN!!! The problem is, we had four dogs (and two cats) prior to Bella. Bella and Phoebe do not get along. We don't know why, and sometimes it is hard to tell who starts what, but they do not get along. Bella gets along fine with the cats too. Bella is a bright star, but she belongs in a home where she is the only star.

ALL PETS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE DALLAS/FT WORTH METROPLEX MEET AND GREET APPOINTMENTS SET UP WITH PRE-APPROVED APPLICATION ONLY Puppy Policies: We do not adopt puppies under 6 months of age into apartment homes or homes without a fenced yard. All children in the home must be at least 5 years of age. We appreciate your understanding of these policies. Cheyenne is one sweet girl who loves attention! Chin scratches are at the top of her “favorites” list as you can see. She arrived from the Laredo shelter where she shared a kennel with Hammy who also joined RT4P. So far we know she likes other dogs and kids! She is potty trained and has already conquered the doggie door. She does really well in her crate too … she is only 8 months old after all so we think she is doing great Like all puppies, Cheyenne needs an adopter who is willing to train and work with her to help her be the best dog she can be. If you would like to meet Cheyenne, the first step in the process is to complete an application. Please go to roadtrip4paws.com and click on the Adopt tab to find a link to our online application. Story
Get ready to fall head over heels for Ira, one of the cutest puppies around with colors that pop and a personality that's pure sunshine. His striking markings scream Catahoula heritage, paired with a sturdy Pitbull build that's all compact cuteness—no giant here, just the perfect size for endless snuggles. This happy-go-lucky boy oozes joy and has already shaken off his shelter past to embrace every new moment. He's calm beyond his years (ideal for chill vibes), but lights up with gentle roughhousing during playdates with other dogs—always respectful, never rowdy. A total cuddle bug who's made for couch lounging, bedtime companionship, and lazy laps. He's adventure-ready after his shelter days, loving walks where he struts like a pro on the leash. Super quick learner who's treat-motivated and command-savvy. Already mastering crate etiquette (housebreaking is just around the corner—his long shelter stay slowed him down, but he's nailing it now). He desires a loving person or family who'll shower him with praise and play—he lives to please and show off his talents. Bonus if there's a furry sibling for those supervised zoomies! Ira's got the heart of a hero and the soul of a sweetheart, just waiting for his forever adventure partner. Who's going to give this gem the home he deserves?
