Meet Otis, an eleven month old Hound/Pointer mix weighing 52 pounds.Otis is a sweet boy looking for a new beginning after the heartbreaking loss of his owner.When Otis first arrived, he was very scared and jumpy, but in the short time he`s been with us, we`ve already watched him come out of his shell and show us his goofy, lovable personality. It`s been wonderful seeing him begin to feel more comfortable, and we know there`s still so much more of his personality waiting to shine!Otis can be a little nervous in new situations, so he would benefit from continued socialization, patience, and reassurance to help build his confidence. Once he bonds with you, we think he`ll be the kind of companion who quickly finds his place by your side.He`s treat motivated, knows “sit,” and his previous family reports that he`s potty trained. He`s also lived with men, women, children, cats, and other dogs.Otis has already been through a lot of change, and now he needs someone willing to give him the time and love to settle into his next chapter. He`s a sweet, goofy boy with so much potential, and we hope his next family finds him soon.This pet is available for adoption on 10.13.26 at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center.
