Story
Meet Stevie! this sweet 4-year-old Black Lab mix—a calm, loving companion with a heart full of devotion 💛 She forms strong bonds with her person and will happily follow you from room to room just to be near you. Easygoing and affectionate, she’s content relaxing by your side and being part of your daily routine. She’s also food-motivated, which makes training and enrichment fun and rewarding. She has done well with other dogs in the past and may enjoy a canine friend again with proper introductions. She thrives in a quieter home and does best with older children (6+). While she’s gentle with toddlers during visits, the energy of living with very young kids can be overwhelming for her. Her family loves her dearly and wants her to have a calm, stable home where she can truly shine. In the right environment, she will be an incredibly loyal and loving companion. 🐾

Story
We took this beautiful girl in in what was supposed to be a temporary situation when she needed a place to go 6 months ago. She’s approximately 1 yrs old & we are unsure of her breed mix. She’s a sweet girl who is fully house trained & crate trained although we would have no problem trusting her to roam free if she was the only dog in the house. She loves to be outside. She has good energy but also knows how to chill. She Loves her toys & a frozen kong. She’s very food motivated. She’s also had some professional training and knows how to sit, stay, paw, heal, etc. Unfortunately we are looking to rehome as she is not getting along with our other female dog in the home. We don’t want to have to crate her all day. She most likely would do best as the only dog in the house. We are unsure of how she would be with children as she has never been around them. We love her and don’t want to see her go. She deserves the best home. Will be spayed end of June. The rehome fee will be paid to rescue.

Story
Ideal Home: Ellie thrives in a calm, quiet environment, ideally on a farm or acreage with space to run and play. A home without young children, or with very calm, understanding kids, is best.Rehoming Reason: Due to increased noise and activity in our small city home, Ellie's anxiety has become more pronounced. We want her to have the best environment possible.Health: Regular vet visits; vaccinations are up to date, and she is healthy with no issues.Personality and Behavior- Temperament: Sweet and loving, but shy and timid, especially around loud noises. High energy, best in calm settings.- Anxiety: Takes medication for anxiety; her new home should be patient.- Good with Kids: Gentle with toddlers, though her anxiety has increased with noise.- Good with Other Pets: Enjoys medium to large calm dogs, which helps her feel secure.- Training: House-trained, knows basic commands, and responds well to positive reinforcement.Requires plenty of exercise, ideally off-leash, as she loves to run
