My mom says I am a this/that breed of dog, because I am a little of this and a little of that!😄 We think I’m about a year old & stay under 40lbI really love snuggling with my person, head scratches (THE BEST!), and being your loyal shadow. I take a little longer to warm up to new people than some pups, but I can be very loving/silly once I feel safe.Important needs:• No children, I need a quiet, adults-only home. I have bitten the little humans in my current home, but I also growl if they enter the room I’m in or if they’re too loud.• No cats/smaller animals, please!• Big barker, it’s my second fav hobby!• Allergies, a cherry eye that shows up when the allergies get bad, and strong scavenging/chasing instincts. I love smelling all of the smells!I’m a good pup but need an experienced, patient owner committed to training and management. NOT suitable for first-time owners or busy families..So, if you think I can be your fur-ever guy, have your people contact my people! 💙

Rescued from a Los Angeles shelter, she’s been soaking up the comforts of foster home life and showing just how loving she is. She’s a people-oriented pup who has done well with kids and absolutely loves affection—belly rubs are her favorite! After some playtime, Honey is happy to curl up next to you for cuddles. She’s not much of a barker, sleeps well through the night, and settles in nicely at home. One of Honey’s most adorable quirks is how she plays—she’ll happily hop around the backyard like a little bunny, often with a stuffed toy in her mouth. It’s earned her the nickname “Honey Bunny,” and it’s guaranteed to make you giggle! Honey is potty trained, has no dietary restrictions, and is comfortable wearing a harness. She’s still building her confidence on walks and continues to improve with consistency and encouragement. Honey gets excited when she sees other dogs and is still learning how to stay calm in those moments. Because of this, she would likely do best as the only dog in the home, where she can relax and focus on her people. While he was somewhat worried during his time in the shelter, once he came to Chihuahua Rescue Truckee Meadows, his true colors began to shine – and he quickly became the clown of the pups! Volt absolutely loves to play keep-away with his toys. He’ll bring them back for another toss, then zoom off with a grin as if to say, “Catch me if you can!” 🎾 His joyful energy is infectious and will keep you laughing every day. While Volt is very friendly, he does seem to be somewhat untrusting of males. However, with food motivation and positive reinforcement, he will likely overcome this hesitation in time. In the shelter, he allowed staff to put on and remove his little jacket and loved sitting in their laps while they worked in the office. Volt will also happily sit in his foster parent’s lap when he’s had enough playtime – he just needs people who respect his signals and give him space when he says he’s had enough. ✨ To Volt, life is all about toys, play, and fun!
