She’s a sweet, easygoing girl who loves the simple things in life— eating, snuggling, and sleeping! She’s wonderfully calm and doesn’t bark much, only when she’s “ringing the doorbell” or letting you know someone’s at the door. She’s wonderfully calm absolutely loves a good scratch and will happily soak up all the attention. She’s also very food-motivated, which makes her both fun and easy to reward. Overall, she’s a loving, relaxed companion who’s happiest when she’s cozy, well-fed, and close to her people.

11 month old Boxer/Lab/Pit male, have had since he was 6 weeks. Loves to play ball, loves cuddles, know a few commands, sloppy eater/drinker, not fully house trained and never been crated. Has lots of energy and wants all the attention. He needs to work on jumping and mouthing.

Story
Jett is 6 years old and was adopted from a shelter as a puppy for my then teenage niece. She is now in college and couldn’t take him with her. I have taken him in from my sister because she has had to take on additional work to put my niece through college which requires him to be left alone for long periods of time. I am legally blind and have a dog of my own, and it has become too much for me to handle as well. Jett is house trained and an indoor dog, but he would benefit from a home with a yard for him to run around. He is the sweetest dog and gets along well with my other dog. He loves back scratches and bully rubs. He has never been around cats or children for extended periods of time, but he’s always friendly with children when we’re out on walks. He has also been boarded in homes with cats and I was told he did fine. He does have allergies but they are well managed with meds. We want nothing more than for him to find a new home where he’ll get the same amount of love he gives.

Story
We accept applications within 1hour drive of Claymont DE 19703. Mr Cookie has quite a little story. He originally was brought into a facility as a stray. Since no testicles were seen they assumed he was neutered. Male dogs that are not neutered typically have a chip on their shoulder and this guy sure did. He was adopted out and returned. He was then transferred to a rescue, where he was adopted out and returned. Someone sent his bio to his current foster mom because these are type of dogs she likes to help. They worked on things for months but something just wasn’t right. She thought MAYBE a testicle didn't drop and someone didn't do a full neuter. Was she surprised when the vet felt 2 testicles that didn’t drop! This explained everything. So Cookie was finally neutered! But sadly he had some learned behaviors (he was about 2 years old now) and also is was obvious that he had been abused because of it. It’s been a long road, but this dog is amazing and all he wants to do is please and be loved. His ideal forever home would be a parent or 2, no children and another dog. Another dog isn’t a requirement but doggie play dates would be nice. We think he would miss playing and wrestling with another 4 legged friend. Cookie is crate trained, we can not say he is house broken. He loves to play with his tiny Kong tennis ball. He will even put it on the ramp himself so it rolls down and he can chase it.
