Story
Kali is approximately one year old. We rescued her when she was just 8 weeks old from the local pound, and she has been part of our family ever since. From the beginning, we have poured our time, love, and resources into helping her thrive. She is up to date on all vaccinations and is currently on Prozac to help manage her anxiety. Kali is incredibly loving and affectionate. She adores children, does great with other dogs, and is even good with cats. She is playful, sweet, loyal, and very smart. She truly wants to please and bonds deeply with her people. However, Kali struggles with anxiety and needs a home that can provide structure, patience, and continued behavioral support. We are looking for an experienced owner or rescue who understands anxious dogs and is committed to continuing her training and care. Ideally, she would thrive in a calm, stable environment with consistency and someone willing to work with her at her pace.

Story
We found Dozer on the side of the road, eating out of a trash bag, near a construction site. We took him home, bathed him, and welcomed him to our family. He was great in the bath but was too energetic to be kept in the house. He does not get along with our cats, nor any of our other, specifically, male dogs. Or our farm animals, such as, chickens and goats. However, he is a very affectionate and friendly dog. He tends to be more comfortable around women before he does men. But still, has never shown any signs of aggression towards people. He loves to cuddle and stay close. He is a good dog.

Mutt/Labrador Retriever

Female, Senior
Lafayette, LA
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Not good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
Mae is 9 years old and very sweet, but very anxious. When we adopted her I was working from home, but since I've had to return to the office her anxiety has been increasing. Mae needs to be with someone who has more ability to be home with her due to her separation anxiety. Mae warms up to other dogs pretty quickly, and is good with cats and older kids. She startles very easily and is blind in one eye (on medication for glaucoma) so small, active children are not a good fit.
