Story
Max turned 3 years old on 7/11/26. We adopted him from a rescue at 11 weeks. He has always been wary of strangers, but as he’s getting older, he’s developed more stranger danger instead of growing out of it. He’s an extremely sweet boy with his people, but doesn’t like new people coming into the house and needs to be held, crated, or leashed when someone new comes in or he will snap and nip at them. We have a large family with multiple kids who constantly have friends coming in and out, so this is difficult to keep up. Once someone has been in the house for 5-10 minutes, he’s fine and warms up to people quickly. Recently Max has started growling and snapping at our child as well. We feel that he would do best with a quiet/calm house, no young children, who can better plan for guests. He does fine with other dogs and cats (if the cat runs, he will chase it).He loves treats, belly rubs, and to sit on your lap/chest when you’re sitting on the couch. If you howl, he’ll howl with you!

Story
We are fostering a 5 year old adventurous and affectionate red-headed rescue who's looking for his forever home. Athletic and cuddly, intelligent and trainable, Jesse is a great dog for a home that can provide him consistency, exercise, and companionship. Loves: people (has lived with men, kids, and babies), tennis balls, herding balls, fetch, cuddling, walks, doggy daycare, barking at people walking by, and consistent boundaries and commandsStruggles with: separation anxiety (currently medicated), female dogs (wary/submissive due to negative interactions in previous home), being in public places (needs practice), and the concept of personal space (will sit on top of you if you let him)

Story
ee is a goofy little guy with a playful spirit and a knack for making people laugh. Whether he's bouncing around with a toy, investigating something interesting, or finding creative ways to entertain himself, he brings a smile wherever he goes.Lee's life didn't start out so carefree. He and his 12 siblings were found abandoned, frightened, and little more than skin and bones. Thanks to the people who stepped in to help, they were rescued, given the care they desperately needed, and finally had the chance to just be puppies.Today, Lee is social, affectionate, and loves spending time with both people and other dogs. As a young puppy, he'll benefit from continued socialization, enrichment, and positive reinforcement training to help him grow into a confident, well-adjusted adult.Based on his appearance and what we know about his background, we believe Lee is likely a hound mix. While breed is only our best educated guess, hounds are often known for being friendly, affectionate, curious, and eager to explore the world through their incredible sense of smell.Lee has already overcome more than any puppy ever should. Now he's ready to find a family who will appreciate his silly personality, cherish him, and help him continue discovering just how wonderful the world can be.Adoption Fee: $595Lee's adoption fee helps provide the medical care, transportation, and daily care that make rescue possible. While it doesn't cover the full cost of saving a dog, it helps us continue giving more dogs like Lee a second chance. His adoption includes:Age appropriate vaccinationsComprehensive veterinary examinationFecal testing and any necessary dewormingMicrochipNeuteredA Fi Mini GPS smart collar that goes home with himA complimentary 6 month Fi membershipOne month of complimentary pet insuranceLifetime support from 603 Canine Rescue

Story
Lily is a sweet, gentle puppy with a quiet confidence all her own. She isn't the type to demand attention, but she truly enjoys affection when it is offered and happily soaks up love from her people.Lily's story didn't begin this way. She and her siblings were found abandoned in an empty apartment, surviving by chewing on pieces of an egg crate mattress. Thanks to the people who stepped in to help, they were rescued, given the care they desperately needed, and finally had the chance to simply be puppies. As she grows, Lily is expected to be a large dog. She has a soft, beautiful coat with coloring that almost resembles a brindle pattern. Lily enjoys being around other dogs, especially the larger dogs in her foster home. She often tries to interact with them, and if another dog isn't interested, she politely gives them space and moves on.Lily has an independent personality and is content to take in the world around her at her own pace. She would love a home where she can receive the individual attention she deserves and continue growing into the wonderful dog she is becoming. If you're looking for a gentle, thoughtful companion to share life's adventures, Lily may be the perfect match.Adoption Fee: $595Lily's adoption fee helps provide the medical care, transportation, and daily care that make rescue possible.
